See what I mean 'Its a Grand Old Flag?' He always brings in a negative. Can't help himself. Sad.
-
You didn't watch his hand balling in the Port game? Pity!
-
Nothing wrong with his disposal by hand or foot in his most RECENT game against Port. ( Even some of his critics praised his skills except an obstinate mule called Yze Magic who denigrates Bruce with his every post. The 7 goals you described against Carlton would be described by YM as "7 lucky goals in junk time") Some posters even described Cam's performance as sublime. My point is that if he can kick the ball well in this game then all the theories of shin problems go out of the window. Likewise the shoulder problem.

Sorry, meant Fletcher.

What's wrong with the Dees at the moment?

RIVERS and BRUCE? Absurd to suggest this! You must be a YZE MAGIC clone. If Bruce had a few more mates "putting in" like he does EVERY week we'd be a far better footy team. Your knowledge of the game is very limited indeed but you must think you know more than our current coaching staff. -
Do you reckon? What about their old guys who are near retirement? Lloyd, Lucas, Fletcher to name a few. We haven't got too many grandfathers have we?

Had a look at the goal chart on 'Game Day live' and was amazed at just how we scored (eventually) Brad Green's first. Starting from the back pocket, we took no fewer than 14 possessions in a row to get the ball to Greeny. It was zig zagging all over the ground.( Maybe you could call it a team goal as so many had a touch) Compare Bruce's first goal. From the half back flank Green passed to Bate who passed to Bruce who goaled. 3 kicks only needed. I know we are not the only team guilty of over possession of the footy, but what have we got to lose by direct play down the middle now and then and maybe even shock the opposition!

Yeah, wasn't it surprising to read that before they won on Friday night, St Kilda was listed in the Herald Sun as having the worst record at AAMI of any club. How did we escape the radar on this issue? Sadly, I just put this one down as a loss every time. I guess you aren't tipping a Demon win then this week YM? I remember a few seasons ago, after hitting the top of the ladder, one game clear after 18 rounds, being thrashed by either Adelaide or Port at AAMI the next week. I don't have the answer. We even play better at Subiaco don't we? Certainly had more wins over there in the last 10 years.

A little thin-skinned and sensitive are we?

DEMONLAND Thanks for your reply. I still think there is a real chance of a player polling well by MANY POSTERS and not even registering one vote with the crazy RANDOM system. Surely a person of your intelligence can see that the present method is flawed and not nearly accurate enough. Voting for a best player having a RAFFLE system is not on. Bruce for example has received votes from DIFFERENT posters over 2 rounds and hasn't even scored yet. He was last year's MFC B&F if you remember. Take the LUCK factor out of your SYSTEM.

Ha ha ha!
-
Didn't see SYLVIA'S name there either. Maybe HE ISN"T GOOD ENOUGH! Didn't kick the 7 goals you predicted either. Maybe you meant 7 goals for the season! Have a look at our best players on the MFC website. You may be enlightened!
-
I'm not crying mate! If it's only for fun why have it then? Do you not think my suggestion would be fairer and more accurate?
-
What a stupid, completely UNRELIABLE and totally INACCURATE system! As I understand it each week just 3 posters votes are selected at RANDOM ( we hope it really is) and that is how the leader board is decided. So player A could receive 6 votes from 6 different posters and not be randomly selected thus receiving zero votes. A real cowboy arrangement. Surely a much more accurate and fair system would be to put a time limit on voting, say 6 hours after the game and count ALL THOSE who have bothered to vote in that period. No wonder last year's B&F didn't match up with DEMONLAND voting.

' Bruce turned over EVERY possession' Did you watch the game seriously or did you just read YM's hopelessly biased and ill informed comments? I wonder if he has ever pulled on a football boot? Bruce had 30 possessions @ 70%=21 EFFECTIVE possessions. This included 12 CONTESTED possessions. The best of the Dees. Of his 30 possies I counted only 3 that were not effective. I would love to sit next to you or YM at a game and hear what you class as effective and ineffective. It would be quite amusing. I suppose hBruce's goal was ineffective too? Get real mate.

My top 5 are: 1. Ron Barassi On his own way out in front. Mr Football. 2. Norm Smith What a player, what a coach! 3. Laurie Mithen Superb skills and as tough as nails. 4. Robert Flower Sublime skills. 5. Stuart Spencer Those long raking, accurate drop kicks!

Our Home The Melbourne Cricket Ground-WE ARE BACK...
Bobby McKenzie replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is rare YM but for once I am AGREEING with you 100%!!! You can talk sense sometimes. -
You are spot on here Fan. Bohdan is no longer our conditioning coach. YM had better have a go at the new bloke if he wants to find another scapegoat.
-
You are born comedian mate! So you heard Bruce say, "I hate you" above the noise of the crowd did you? You must have supersonic hearing! And you saw him crying did you? This so called incident happened in the 1st quarter and he 'was never seen again for the duration of the game'. This means that Bruce had 22 possessions in the 1st quarter and none for the rest of the game! Must be some sort of record I would think. Did Bruce incur a 50 metre penalty for his 'dIsgraceful behaviour"? Don't worry, he will be cited and receive 10 weeks suspension by the tribunal. That sort of conduct is not on. Not in your supersonic eyes anyway. Gee a bloke wins our B&F and after ONE game some clowns want his blood!
-
I have and I think you have a MAJOR eyesight problem! You will be wishing for the WHOLE SEASON for the dropping of Bruce mate.It aint gonna happen. Like it or lump it he's a class player.

Watching the Eagles Lions game I couldn't help being impressed by young Daniel Rich in his AFL debut. 21 possessions and 4 tackles was pretty good I reckon. I then thought, "We could have had him!" but then I decided that the wait for Jack Watts and Sam Blease would be well worth it. Come on guys put on some muscle and weight and get into it! Jack is brilliant we know and I think we are going to be thrilled with the sheer speed and foot skills of Sam Blease. Another Bluey Adams or Stan Alves maybe?
