Gus to the guts? Does anyone know what is the issue with Tomlinson, up to his injury a year ago he was good and now seems to have lost confidence.

		Farewell Luke Jackson

After promising not to return to this thread until page 50 I think I have safely kept my word, So... Niall as an interesting perspective but more importantly might pour some cold water on an overheated situation which can only help us.

What They Are Saying at Moorabool Street

Short elegant and I think I can see what you mean. However where is your compassion, they had a virus, soon to be canonized Tom Stewart (Chris Scott said that, so it must be) is absent, Danger doesn't have his premiership yet, they have to play at home in the cold and they dont make excuses (we know because Chris says that a lot).

		Angus has to play Midfield...!

I agree he should play in the middle or wing, our movement into the forwards has been poor and this was where Angus excelled.

		Big Freeze 8

You can never have too many big freeze beanies, in an industry that throws around superstar, elite and legend a bit too freely he stands above them all. Neale is an inspiration.

Grimes you are right, my faulty memory of the incident. Weeds was in front of him. Can see how others disagree but still think its been overblown.

CHANGES : Rd 08 vs St. Kilda

Tmac has had a lot of stick for the mark, and I think he was unsure what to do. I read he was worried it may hit the line and bounce back to my mind it looked like he was also worried he may not be able to get out the way with someone behind him. A shame for Harmes who deserved it but the commentary has been over the top.

		COACHES VOTES: Round 7, 2022

Sadly these days non mids are no chance for the Brownlow and yet his dominance of his position, leadership and influence on the game is deserving of that honour.

		Medical Sub

Totally agree if you sub the player is out for the next game. You can elect to play one down or sub. It should get rids of the fresh legs subs. As for Voss, seriously 23? That will become 24 because its a disadvantage to lose one of your 23 to injury and so on.

		CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn

Match committee: do you prefer the Moet or the Bollinger? We are blessed with choice. I think some are too harsh on Smith, it was a howler but Nibbler was probably a worse offender trying to run a through spots he was clearly going to get caught. Matthew Lloyd on AAA said Weid is the more natural forward than BB and TMac and we should persevere with him. An interesting observation. Dunstan was good and seemed to be playing to our system but, and I thought I would never say this, Viney has been good for a goal each week, largely from set shots. Lever , Viney in. Bedford out with Dunstan taking the sub spot.

The very, very contentious 50 for Dissent Rule

Doesn't the dissent rule cover officials as well. So if a coach in the box remonstrates the Ump can award a 50. Where is the GIF of Scott in the coaches box when you need it.

The very, very contentious 50 for Dissent Rule

Did Brad Scott announce the 50 metre penalties are to be applied for supporter dissent? (Other than at West Coast and Dogs games where the home crowds helpfully pointing out the umpires oversights or errors will be immediately corrected.)

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide

Watching from an armchair in another state probably dis-entitles me to contribute in an informed way. I have no idea what goes on off the ball except for Langers who pops up at either end of the field faster than the ball. However what is obvious is we are not playing at a level the coaches will think is satisfactory (due to our makeshift backline) and our ugly wins in the past two weeks cant continue if we really want to contend. Tmac is down but what is he being asked to do? I doubt we need his height down back. Lever in will steady May who is struggling without him. Port will be dangerous and GWS the following week a handful. It will be a tough couple of weeks for the selectors.

		2022 Free Kick Differential

https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/livid-afl-fans-fume-at-mindboggling-umpiring-in-dogs-vs-swans/news-story/7d6f06c269f737b9c9f1a60a5d3d9d85 The AFL is right to back the umpires in most circumstances but as stated above that does not mean some sober reflection on trends in Umpiring shouldn't be discussed. It doesn't mean the Umpires are actually biased merely there is an issue that needs to be addressed. Most workplaces these days discuss the issue of unconscious bias. It has been plain as a pikestaff over the years there is a bias in Perth caused by something (possibly the crowds influence) but little has been done about it. The dogs free kick advantage should be discussed and addressed. Ps: Which brave journo will ask Bevo about it at a press conference?

		Who to cull?

Indeed. Now West Coast are not high on my faves list nor could I imagine extending them sympathy but the current situation is pretty inequitable. Simpson has not moaned about it. Given this could happen to any club depth this year is very important.

		CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon

At first I was tending to agree re Tmac but quiet reflection suggests all our forwards struggled to really get into the game. I dont think you could say either BBB or Fritta were clunking them and our smalls were off as well(ANB excepted). Cossie was really down in the first half but really worked himself back into it. A long way of saying either they were all off or we were worked over by GC on strategy. That is not fixed by dropping Tmac who may be needed down back. I'd be surprised if Tmac was dropped.

		Farewell Luke Jackson

Wake me up on page 50. Truth is that players these days are encouraged to think beyond one club, the AFL wants that to happen as the whole trade thing is part of the entertainment. Players have grown up watching the careers in the NBA. On that basis he must be a 50/50 risk which would escalate should he get another flag with us this year, not because of his character just the era we now live in. That said i thought his body language was stay, all other things being equal.
