At this point I'm thinking nothing short of a 200 point loss to GWS would get Neeld sacked. Honestly I see this one being about a 40-50 point loss and Neeld buying himself some time whilst talking up some stats that aren't the scoreboard.

Time to lube up.

A much more realistic assessment. The point is that they have a core group of proven talented youngsters to build upon. They would surely have some concerns about Jones. He takes an excellent contested grab but his yips in front of goal are something shocking. Granted if he can get his kicking sorted he will be an extremely damaging player.

5 Years Says Neeld - Who is going to cop that?
P-man replied to Mongrel Dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
I couldn't believe when pm24 (a quality poster) was praising Neeld for the consistency of his messages to fans. -
Fair enough.

Nail on head. There is absolutely no reason we needed to have been taken as far back as we have under Neeld, resorting to a desperate hope of being competitive. Now he is trying to defend this mess he has created.

Seriously Boss, you need to get that question mark key looked at. It's clearly busted. Yes they're younger, and I have faith that they can become good players, but Toumpas has done literally nothing yet and whilst Evans' performances in a struggling side have been admirable, rating him ahead of Liberatore is frankly laughable. You've hit the nail on the head, they ARE already excellent players, and some are saying they won't be any good. They already are ffs, 3rd in total clearances behind Matt Priddis and Josh Kennedy. They have the runs on the board to show their quality. We are merely hoping the likes of Toumpas and Evans will get to that level. When you add Wallis, Macrae, Roughead etc..the idea that the Dogs don't have any decent youth is garbage. I understand the need to make ourselves feel better about the [censored] truck Neeld is currently driving, but c'mon.

Inconsistent.... Libba is averaging 22 disposals a game this year. At 21 years of age, his rankings in the AFL, that is the ENTIRE league, are as follows: - 3rd for clearances (averaging 7.5 a game) - 7th for total tackles - 6th for total contested possessions (averaging 13.8 a game) What i would give for that kind of "inconcistency". And you rate Michael Evans and Jimmy T ahead of him. Based on what exactly? If we're going to be critical of another team's list or players, can we at least make it evidence based or within the realm of somewhat reasonable? Saying Stringer is their only talented youngster is complete nonsense.

Which of our youngsters do you rate ahead of Liberatore or Dalhaus?

Absolutely [censored] weak. God I hope he gets moved on quickly. His pre-game excuses are beyond the point of embarrassing. The man would struggle to motivate Tony Robbins to get out of bed.

Lock in c thanks Ed.

Last week we had "attempted tackles". Maybe this week we will examine our "attempted running". "We tried to run 287 times, but it only worked 164 times. You can't win games with that kind of differential."

I guess I'm in the minority because overall it wasn't even close to the worst I've seen this year. Certainly a couple of very dubious ones toward the end to both Shuey and Selwood who were up to their usual tricks, but the final tally of 21 to 17 indicates it was fairly even. For the majority of the game they let the 50/50 ones go. By Subiaco standards it was actually quite good.

Once he actually gets the ball in his hands (a rarity), you can see why he went so high in the draft. Generally his decision making is very good and he is of course an excellent kick. But you simply cannot compete at AFL level being as slow as he is, currently,

He played down back once (or twice?) during the NAB Cup and it was the most comfortable I've seen him.

The award for the dumbest footballer goes to....
P-man replied to dees189227's topic in Melbourne Demons
True. If I overheard a footballer ordering a cosmopolitan I wouldn't even blink. Fortunately they haven't all been bitten by the metro bug. If they printed a photo of Jonno Brown even in the vicinity of a cruiser he'd probably sue for defamation. -
Is this a serious post? We have at least 10 not quite good enough players. At least.

He might've escaped sanction if it was a beer. That looks to be a Smirnoff in his hand. Throw the book at him I say. -
Bah, even having that idiot on ignore doesn't prevent exposure to his garbage when it gets quoted. We need an ignore function where it hides the posts altogether.
-
Ah screw it, whatever. Should've made it four, let's get crazy.

Can't see anything on the website

We need to make this the Demonland slogan. Seriously.

To me it went both ways. Neeld clearly mismanaged Beamer, but likewise Beamer didn't have to "drop his bundle". He could've put aside the differences for the good of his team and the club. He chose not to.
-
League requirement, but a stupid one. Serves very little if any purpose.
-
You disputed it because it was Neeld - "maybe check the tape again". I did, and quoted directly to show that what I was saying was 100% accurate. But okay.
