  1. I am now 90% in favour of trading Watts at the end of the season. He has talent but his effort is close to non-existent. He jogs, he points, he falls over, he makes lunges that could almost be interpreted as attempted tackles, and every 30 minutes he hits a nice pass. He is a passenger. If we can somehow manage a late first rounder, we simply must make the move. I doubt he's really all that happy here anymore. How could he be? Best for both parties I think.
  2. This is the problem though. Only one of those players was on the field yesterday, and he's a free agent who will be leaving anyway. I really think Roos needs to be brutal in who he decides to let go. There are some players who need to be traded now while they have value. None of those listed above fall into that category, bar Blease and maybe Tapscott.
  3. Jones "goes through the motions"? Okay, now I have definitely heard it all. Jones is the reason I still give any semblance of a [censored].
  4. I really don't know what to think. The feeling is worse than 186 to tell the truth. The 4 wins we've had were all pretty fortunate when you look back on them. Hell, even Neeld pulled out a win against the Bombers. They may have papered over some gaping cracks. The list needs a serious shake up, that much is abundantly clear. But when players like Garland now have a question mark over their heads, just how many are worth keeping? I honestly don't know anymore. Could be fatigue. Could be worrying about saving their own skin. Could be just a lack of ability or issues above the shoulders that can't be fixed. The task at hand is huge and I'm worried for my footy club, but we will just have to wait and see what changes Roos makes and hope like hell that our recruiters have their game face on.
  5. He's not beyond scrutiny. He's the coach of a side that has kicked 3 goals against a fellow cellar dwellar with half their side out, and he's pretty much heaped it all on the payers, as he has done previously. We back the man because we have no alternative, but distancing yourself from the players after a loss wouldn't want to become a habit. Roos isn't used to coaching a complete mess like this one.
  6. He has been extremely poor for several weeks now. The argument (as stated by titan and others) that it is near impossible being a forward in this team has validity. Our forward entries are awful and balls continually going over your head or bounced near your toes makes it difficult to get any momentum going. But his field skills have been terrible. He can't take a mark and he cant hit a teammate. His leading patterns also seem a bit all over the shop but maybe that's just a by-product of the crappy service he gets. Who can tell at this point. Jones and Tyson are playing well. T Mac and Jetta are passable. The rest..
  7. This in particular was on full display today. You can sense the dread in the players when they stop and look for an option. They don't want to be the one that turns it over to the groans of the crowd so eventually take the sideways or backwards safe option. When you're unwilling to take on any risks at all, you become paralysed.
  8. Yeah, I didn't like it. He also seems very unwilling to take on any responsibility himself. I'm not anti-Roos but when you're one of the lowest scoring teams in history, the coach is answerable to some degree, surely. Offensively speaking he has done the unthinkable and taken the team backwards.
  9. Dawes has been woeful for a while now. Looking like a bust at present. Can't mark and can't kick.
  10. Seems to be battle lines being drawn between him and the players tbh. A few referrals to the players flying the white flag. That's a fair whack. Deserved yes....but from the coach himself? Not sure. Also seemed very willing to be drawn in on the topic of delisting of players. Not his best moment but it's almost impossible to have a good moment after that. Alot of them are on their own for the next two games to salvage their careers. Expect another two performances like today. Definite low point in the Roos rebuild.
  11. The other clubs will riot if we are given a priority pick, and rightly so. When do you say enough? WHEN? Just beg forever?
  12. If Jones leaves I will actually be done. He's the only reason I have any respect left for this club.
  13. Sure, but the lack of offense is beyond alarming. It's bizarre. We can't kick a goal.
  14. This is going to stuff my voting system. I need at least 10 posters to vote.
  15. I guess this is what happens when players feel like they have a target on their back. Careers on the line and they've totally imploded.
  16. Right now my feeling is also no. Been down for far too long and are still in intensive care. Another 2 years max to turn it around or we are gone.
  17. Can it be fixed? Genuine question.
  18. Had enough of this [censored] I think. It's a sick joke.
  19. It's just...bewildering. I almost don't care what they do in the second half. If they can run over the top of a depleted bunch of kids, bravo. At this rate they won't even manage that. I want players in the side who can execute skills and are desperate to win. Most of these blokes don't fit that description.
  20. Let's be clear. We are playing half a GWS side at home with their players dropping like flies and are being dominated.
  21. lol What can you say? There's nothing more.
  22. Don't fall over. We are winning an inside 50 count.
  23. I can't recall a team that moves the ball slower.
