Howe, Dunn, Tyson, Cross, ?, Lumumba. Dunno who the fifth bloke is. Hopefully PJ

The aid comments were again just a total lack of judgement. To come out and say that publicly is mind boggling. Talk about a red rag to a bull. It's Abbott's complete and utter lack of ability to properly assess a situation that one can only marvel at.

Jeff Garlett Misses Court Appearance
P-man replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
To quote the Wiggles....WAKE UP JEFF!!! -
That is a damning read. Won't name names, except for Hannabal/Benny. For someone so far up his own backside, it's remarkable how often he got it wrong. He no doubt claims over on BF that he always knew Jones would be a gun

A lighter session doesn't surprise me tbh. They are no doubt climbing the walls ready to get into the real stuff. You don't want to go hammer and tongs at this late stage to risk an injury.

It means he should earn people some money in fantasy footy compared to other similarly priced rookies, which can simply mean he will get gametime. I wouldn't label it as "hype".

If Abbott is our Dubya then there's the possibility our Obama is around the corner? Some will say that isn't a great thing, but few would deny his leadership qualities. I don't think the modern political and media world necessarily precludes the emergence of a true, unifying leader. But it is now far more challenging, and it may be a while before we see it. Which is a sobering thought.

NAB form isn't the be all and end all. But it's an indicator. You'd rather Toumpas play well than not, especially when he has something to prove in 2015. I agree that Toumpas needs to be given full opportunity to show his wares, but I wouldn't give him a cart blanche for the entire year. Every player need to earn their spot. If he isn't performing then he goes to Casey and fights for his spot. Hopefully he hits the ground running. Fair call. Main thing is they are both comfortably best 22.

Doesn't make a great deal of difference if starting or on the pine these days. You're not there for long. Going by Roos' comments, Prince will have a variety of roles as a utility off half back, through the middle and around stoppages. So not entirely sure where to place him, just that he plays. Toumpas can provide a bit of outside run (going by his fitness reports) and whilst he has his critics, we need elite kicks of the footy as badly as Kamichael Hunt needs a decent lawyer. He's in my side for Round 1, NAB form pending.

Every team listed has Lumumba. H, HL, Prince and Lamumba are all Lumumba.

Vote: for reinstating Climate Change back Onto the G-20 agenda !!!
P-man replied to dee-luded's topic in General Discussion
So there is documented evidence obtained under FOI that proves he accepted a huge sum of money to deliver his reports as a "deliverable" to suit an agenda. At what point do you accept that evidence? When it is placed under your nose? Are NYT lying? Another conspiracy afoot? Soon has said his corporate funding has not influenced his findings. Of course he'd say that. His reputation as a scientist depends on it. And he may be telling the truth. But the fact he is funded by fossil fuel companies seriously compromises the integrity of the reports no matter what he states about the extent of their influence. I'll assume your not answering the second question as there being no such evidence to support your claim of "yeah but I bet the other side is just as bad. Probably." -

P-man replied to dee-luded's topic in General Discussion
How is it smear when it's just basic facts? Is there ANY evidence to suggest "pro GW" scientists are funded by corporations? Because there is plenty of evidence of climate skeptics being funded by large industry. Clearly their employment options aren't limited when you take into account the amount of funding, speaking engagements etc. -

Intra Club - Thursday 19 February 2015 at Casey Fields @ 3pm
P-man replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
And yet you "like" posts that label people "morons". Turn it up. Saty has defended the decision. His view has been contested. He can handle himself just fine on his own without you continually pointing out how wonderful you think he is and asking people to stay on topic by making off-topic posts. What.I find tedious are comments that derail a legitimate debate that you already saw fit to label as "petty". It's anything but petty. It's perfectly reasonable when looking at the way in which other clubs, large and small, have used the opportunity. Getting a glimpse of Hogan clunking marks and ragdolling teammates would've been good for 50 memberships on its own. -

I hope the (valid) concerns re the scheduling of the intra club have all been conveyed to the club so they can be weighed into considerations for next year. -
Jet pack or superman style?

And Vandenburg. And quite possibly Stretch. Good summation and agree with your definites. Some quality players competing for the remaining spots. The ones I would choose at this stage are Garland, Gawn, Newton, Toumpas, Kennedy-Harris and Kent. FB: Jetta Dunn Garland HB: Salem T.McDonald Howe C: Vince Jones Toumpas HF: Watts Dawes Kent FF: Garlett Hogan Gawn R: Jamar Tyson Cross Int: Lumumba Viney Newton (Kennedy-Harris) But we all know Grimes will play. How to squeeze him in is the problem, especially if we finally have found a quality distributor in Salem. Frost will also be strongly pushing his case I suspect.

I see a lot of passionate supporters, the majority of whom are silmply expressing their desire for Jackson to stay. This is a forum for passionate supporters is it not? The only overreaction as I see it is from those who denigrate others for expressing that passion.

Indigenous All Stars v West Coast Eagles
P-man replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
"pinpoint pass" and "smooth moving" have been used when JKH had the ball. Sounds about right. -
Indigenous All Stars v West Coast Eagles
P-man replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Tuned in to the second quarter. All Stars are up by 10 at the main break. Heard Jetta and JKH's name a couple of times. One was a "slick" handball from JKH, the other was an errant kick from Jetta. Sounds like both are playing back. Shane Yarran also stating his case to be on an AFL list. You'd think would be worth a punt somewhere. Very frustrating that this isn't being televised. -
In the list of reasons to be excited about the future, this fella is in my top five. Loved him from the moment he tore Richmond a new one around this time last year.

I've heard this mentioned a few times but can't seem to find which bills it is referring to. Do you know? On face value it is a reckless position to take, but I'd like to know which ones it is in reference to, and any surrounding details on why they are being blocked. -
Why do these muppets make up this crap? Does it pain them that much to see the club finally findng its feet?

Christian Petracca - Season Ending Knee Injury
P-man replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's bad news and everyone has right to vent (where else can you if not here?), but keep it in perspective. Petracca wasn't going to be the single difference in getting 3 more wins this season. That's frankly ludicrous. There's nothing to say that he wouldn't have spent at least half the year at Casey. He might have the body but the fitness is a work in progress. At least he'll be ready for pre-season this time next year. Rotten luck but the show must go on, with slightly greater opportunity for a Stretch or ANB to put their hand up.
