  1. From memory it's a club themed collar with optional water dish. I'm not even joking. Yep, it's Roo. Tremendous player. Horrendous commentator. Loves Bernie to death though...and who can blame him?
  2. I don't recall your posts personally, but I took objection at the time to those who were laying the boot in before we had all the facts and before the situation had fully panned out. Those who were quick to strike generally had an attitude of depression not being a legitimate illness, which is ignorant and wrong. Bleeding heart? I'd say open mind. We still don't have all the facts and Clark continues to leave his cryptic messages on Twitter rather than choosing to be up front and honest with the fans who backed him while he was here. I don't agree with how he's handled the situation at all in terms of using up the club's resources and leading them on right up until the day he turned his back. His posts about "loving hanging with the boys" are stomach churning, and I continue to smell a rat over his "medical advice" to change clubs. But in saying all that, I'm over it. The club is in a good place, and whilst he would have been handy, we no longer need him.
  3. The obvious answer would be taking pride in their family and their heritage. I don't understand why people make a big deal of it tbh. Assuming it's an egotistical thing is a bit silly.
  4. I have no time for him as a person, but I think he's going to smash it next season. The Cats fans will love him just the same as we did. He'll be the difference that helps them into yet another finals series.
  5. I agree that they didn't have much choice under the circumstances. Even prior to this decision, the writing was on the wall from the non-committal way he was talking. He's gone. If we can rise to around mid table next season, I certainly wouldn't rule out landing him here.
  6. The players I've spoken to had never even heard of Demonland, and frankly it means two fifths of stuff all what they think of the place. Anyone with even a semblance of sense in their cranium understands that this is a forum specifically catered for fans to discuss the club and its players, positive and negative, and that sharing and discussing critiques of players is part of that discussion. The only "hero" is someone disturbed enough to take joy in baiting and abusing people who choose to take part in that forum and are motivated by nothing but interest in their football club. I agree the thread should be closed. Nothing more to be gained.
  7. Surely large doubts now over Sloane remaining at the club as well. He and Danger seem obvious captaincy choices ahead of Tex.
  8. I think my favourite quote was something along the lines of: "All the boys want the same thing. To win games." What a unique thing for a team to unite over.
  9. So basically, more alcohol at games and a really enthusiastic announcer. That seems to be the darts blueprint
  10. Head against brick wall time. Your constant sarcasm on here isn't being humourous. It's blatant rudeness, and you know it, yet act shocked when it is thrown back at you. I question someone who forms what he deems "relationships" with the players, but seemingly treats fellow supporters like dirt. If you're a player or coach you're invariably a top bloke. If you're a supporter who in any way questions the status quo or doesn't tow the company line, you're a "whinger" not worth the time of day. I applaud some of your contributions to the club, but god help us if everyone meekly accepted the way things were during the Neeld/Schwab era and tore strips off anyone who questioned it.
  11. I think both sides to this have validity. Yes, T Mac in his primary role as a key defender has the makings of one of the competition's elite. But in the other facets he is positively awkward and sub-AFL standard. That is a concern no matter where you play in the modern game. Hopefully the skills and decison making will improve over time as it can often do. But it would want to start soon. And as a disclaimer for Saty's benefit, the above is not being said to "make myself feel better".
  12. Well, logic didn't work. If everyone thought and acted like you we'd have no club. Be thankful that they don't.
  13. It's amazing (but not surprising) that I can't even mention three names without you getting all fan boy offended and throw a few barbs. We don't all attend every single training session on our scooter and pester the players with questions about their injuries and ask them to pose for "gun pics". They are just player X, Y and Z to me. I can't assess players who haven't played a game. It's not fair and it wouldn't be accurate to do so,so. They are excluded. With that in mind, those three are the ones near or at the bottom of the list. If someone like Riley steps it up I'll be thrilled, but I don't greatly fancy the chances of Terlich or McKenzie making me eat humble pie.
  14. More members arriving with success will come as a surprise to no-one. That's just the nature of the beast. All it does is attract the bandwagoner label, and what you think is sending a message is just hurting a club that badly needs every single member it can muster. Poor decision.
  15. Agreed. Even if they aren't the most skilled, they have heart and mongrel, and I'm not dismissing them as depth for the stage we are at as a team.
  16. Ah Saty, I knew you wouldn't be able to resist. I am obviously only including players who have, ya know, played a game. I promise I'll only say nice rainbow flavoured things about every player for the next week,. They're all WINNERS!
  17. Can only name a clear bottom three for mine: Terlich, McKenzie, Riley. Others who would've rounded out the clear bottom five are now gone.
  18. There are perhaps two interpretations of this. 1. Important in role/overall contribution 1. Jones 2. Tyson 3. McDonald 4. Vince 5. Hogan (reluctantly) 2. Important in terms of their improvement and immediate impact. 1. Hogan (reluctantly) 2. Toumpas 3. Newton/Michie 4. Lumumba 5. Garlett
  19. The only one I will absolutely rule out is Mike's Top 50.
  20. Jones will still be our best but I expect Tyson to at least be his equal by the conclusion of 2016. He is capable of cementing himself as an A grader (or what I determine to be an A grader) next season. I don't underrate Tyson my friend. I just don't think he'll be one of the top five players in the league next season. Are you still standing by that btw?
  21. Delivery for Mr Beer. Sorry they're a little late. The truck broke down.
  22. He looks noticeably leaner in the recent photos I've seen.

    Clean Slate

I can see where you're coming from, I think, but the first time Grimes kicks out on the full, or Dawes drops a simple mark, or Watts goes to ground when he doesn't have to, it will go out the window. Players build a reputation based not only on their strengths.
  24. What year are we in? Jones' awareness, movement and general decision making have all improved out of sight from where he was a few years back, when your criticism would have been valid (and common).
