He is leading our goalkicking and hasn't even played all the games this season, he is exciting, media journalists and commentators are in love with him and I think he is a bit of a cult figure at melbourne. I know these things don't get you the reward but for a young fella to come off the rookie list and lead your clubs goalkicking throughout the season is a huge achievement. I reckon he is getting the most out of his footy in a team that is going pretty average. Palmer from freo is the favourite at them moment but if Aussie keeps going like he is he has to be a chance

There isn't much in the media about last nights dinner so I just wanted to know from people who went what did the players say especially the old ones. I heard Garry Lyon gave an excellent speech and told all the current players to stand up and told them they are in charge to lead this club foward. What did the ox say. I don't really want to go because im not sure i could sit there and watch us get a hiding considering what collingwood has done to geelong and west coast but i will go because i want to see all the pre game stuff. In Hutchy's Herald Sun column yesterday it said that Chris talks about playing games at Casey in a segment called beat the press. He talks about other stuff as well. Not sure who else is with him. This segment usually gets heated so it will be intersting to watch seeing how passionate Chris always is. No doubt they will attack Caro like all them men do. They never say anything to Hutchy. Caro and Damien Barratt cop it.

I reckon we are a chance next week. Our midfield is faster there is no Gehrig this time to carve us up and we are slowly beginning to play good football. If we can hold kosi and roo we should be alright. If we play with the intensity we played with yesterday we will do well. The only thng is its a TD. Our record there isn't great.

I will be there junior to clap you on your 200th game. You have been a one club player who has played many magnificent games for us. The 2 best and fairests show what a great player you have been. Every week you go in hard. Well done and hopefully the boys can be motovated to win for you.

I was thinking the other day that we only received one and that was at the start of the year. Normally you get one around July and then you get an end of year one. My membership is the $50 mfc/mcc one. I should get the magazine because the membership category is recognised by the afl and goes towards our total. We have 4 memebrs in our house. We should at least get one. Just wondering if others got one. Although I'm still waiting to receive my renewal form come to me in the mail.

He is a receiver, a tool off the field, has only finished in the top 10 once in his 10 years, compare that to riewoldt who has won 4 already. He is not in the leadership group and only plays well when we win. If he is at melbourne next year it's because no one else wanted him. The sad thing is no other club is interested. Which tells that they don't think highly of him either. I think buchanan from sydney would be a great replacement.

Typical, he announces it at the best and fairest so he can be up on stage and everybody will clap him and slap him on the back and he gets all the attention. He will be loving it. Its funny how now Judd is out of the race we are suddenly dealing with Robbo again. He should be relieved that Judd isn't coming to melbourne because he may have been traded. Robbo just some advice next season stop acting like a sook on the field, chase harder, stop diving and get that bad attiude look off your face that you have been wearing for the past few weeks.

I'm happy with that. I wanted someone different. I'm glad they just didn't go with sheeds just for his name. I either wanted hardwick or bailey. He obviously did a very good presentation. Everyone laughed when the hawks appointed clarko. Bailey has been involved with essendon in the 2000 premiership and the port one as well. In all the time he has been assistant coach he has only missed the finals once, so he has the finals experience. I know he wasn't the main coach but he would have had a huge part in the wins. I'd say well done melbourne and I'm looking foward to next year. I know there will be people who wanted someone else but I think we should get behind him and support him. Good luck Dean.

Yeah I saw it. I'd hate to lose him and I'd really really hate it if Collingw&%$ got him. It would shatter me to see him in black and white. It also sounded like he went to the club to talk about his contract and he was disappointed they didn't come to him first. Can't they give him a two year deal with an automatic option for an extra year in there. He has been with us for 11 years and only 28. I'd really don't see a problem giving him the 3 years. I know he has had this knee injury but over pre season he will get that cleaned out. Hopefully the new coach can talk him into staying.

On before the game tonight they mentioned that collingwood are already preparing a defence. get this they may be saying that Bell was concussed when his head hit carols leg and I heard someone else say that on radio. If Johnson didn't do what we did then bell wouldn't be in the position to hit Nathan's leg he was probably knocked out cold straight away. I couldn't care less how bad Johnson feels. So he should. I want him to get at least 4 weeks. But knowing the afl he will get only 2.
