  1. You certainly won't be posting about it on Demonland, the server will go up in flames.
  2. Not sure if it means anything or is just a frivolous stat, but we've gone from 'conceding' the 14th most bounces by opposition players in a game last year to 3rd this season - rest of the top five Brisbane, Gold Coast, Freo and Carlton. If you can run quickly then football skills may be optional against us. Should have known something was up when Billy Hartung played like Robert Flower for the first half against North.

Sounds like he ticked off the talking points from the media department at 100% efficiency.
  4. Finals since 2015 - 24, 20, 34, 35, 34 and 25 touches. Seems to find it alright.
  5. Would need about 230 inside 50s.
  6. Bring back all the threads from the last couple of years where he was being buried.

You are correct but it still has chuff all to do with attendances.

Irrelevant considering we should have beaten Geelong and almost everything right last Friday except convert opportunities. The majority of the same group have won on Queen's Birthday and Anzac Eve, this is a cute stat and nothing more.
  9. Did they what, I've never seen a side torch so many easy opportunities. There was one where it was rolling loose in the forward line and with nobody in front of him the Bombers player ran right over the top. On a more personal note I was so worked up that my legs stopped working and I had to wait 20 minutes before walking down the stairs of the Ponsford Stand.
  10. The performances are not to be discounted, but they were playing a village team. Like when Gawn had 80 hitouts then it turned out Bendigo couldn't afford a ruckman.

This is around what I've got as well - North losing to the Dogs would have been a major bonus for us. Thanks Mitch Wallis you campaigner. Edit - There is a North vs WCE game in Hobart in Round 19 that is massive, the Roos winning there wouldn't be an upset and they get that then we're likely cactus unless we beat Adelaide + one of Sydney, Geelong or West Coast.
  12. Fair point, but if you watch soccer for any length of time you'll find people blowing up madly over decisions there too.
  13. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. He's ok with the ball, is a massive liability without it. Either he or Vince goes now and the other follows at the end of the year.
  14. Next time instead of the Manchester United question let's hear more about his stint at Walsall*. * In a obscure spin-off program where footy players give their recollections of lower league English football. Would subscribe.
  15. Fired up to get over-excited about player performances against a glorified suburban team.
  16. What do you think of the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre? I'll be honest, I'm dead against it.
  17. And the financials are much better there now that the AFL own the joint. Not a big deal to play one game there if the alternative is Darwin.
  18. For all those hoping for the MCG, from three weeks ago...
  19. Build a bar facing the platforms at Jolimont so we can taunt platforms full of opposition plebs after games.
  20. Thanks, can't see why I didn't think Geelong would be covered under interstate ticketing.
  21. What's the link? I clicked 'ticketing' and it's offering me the chance to buy early tickets for the blockbuster clash vs Gold Coast at the MCG.
  22. They all got this today
  23. Didn't think much of him, but Vince should be in the gun first.
  24. Would be keen to know what they'd do to make this Brisbane/Essendon game a red hot spectacle. There always has been and always will be rubbish games - the art is not to schedule the obvious ones in marquee timeslots. The fixture is rigged anyway, you can't tell me they couldn't make it work so there's one game a week between expected contenders that they could make work on a Friday night. The problem is what happens when those games start to be GWS vs Port Adelaide - that's where we'll find out if the ratings are down because of game quality.
  25. Frees count this year (courtesy of AFL Tables). We are 7-4 up on the free count in total and 238-233 total in front.
