  1. Interesting you think so because the exact opposite is true for 2011 Jamar is one of the best: HO HTA %HTA %EffHTA Jamar 29.2 12.1 41.4 50.9 Cox 28.0 10.5 37.5 44.8 Jolly 24.8 9.8 39.5 54.0 Mumford 32.8 12.8 39.0 50.1
  2. He is one of the worst performers when tagged. An ordinary player in Carazzo has toweled him up consistently. After this year he can only be better, someone has got to show him how to get better with tags.
  3. Really liked the way he goes about it. Showed really positive signs that he will be a valuable contributer He really has a football brain cant wait to see his improvement next year.
  4. I think therefore if we finish 8th - 11 (mid round compo pick) pick 12, pick 13 (compo pick after first live pick) 9th - 10 (mid round compo pick) pick 11 live pick, pick 12 (compo pick after first live pick) 10th - 10 (mid round compo pick) pick 9 live pick, pick 11 (compo pick after first live pick) 11th - 10 (mid round compo pick) pick 8 live pick, pick 9 (compo pick after first live pick) so on and so forth
  5. we have to win ball out of the middle and increase inside 50's before Clark can kick any goals when I see that happen I'll have an idea of how many goals he'll kick.
  6. Chin up long off-season better to start positive and enjoy the next 3 months A game plan will take 3-4 seasons to perfect have faith that there is now plenty of staff to over see the development of the young talent that's one thing that's given me hope.
  7. Merc = Change 1 Warnock = Change 2 Maric = Change 3 Hope Norf can uncover the rough diamond in Maric that a lot of other people see. All I have ever seen is ordinary at best. Juice still riding the wave of 2007 Mark of the year. through comparative mathematical analysis I have extrapolated that Jurrah will remain on the list till 2132.
  8. You don't think an unstable manager who makes poor decisions in his personal life would give poor advice. Fair enough. I recall I think in Ben Cousins documentary Nixon giving advice to someone other than Cousins and it basically went along the lines of giving advice to a seasoned player to change clubs for perceived greener pastures. Nixon had an influence, he was Bruce's manager you don't pay a guy 8% of your contract for nothing even if you have been in the game for 12 years. either Nixon didn't assist to mend bridges between Bruce and Club or encouraged Bruce to go. An unbalanced Nixon would certainly had an effect imo.
  9. Proportion some blame towards Chicken Nixon his dirty fingers were all over this. I believe he gave Bruce advice that was very poor. Would of been along the lines of MFC going youth road, you'll be tipped out soon, they only offer 1 year contracts, hawthorn will offer an optional year, hawks are close to a flag 220 games of loyalty mean squat. Bruce has made a fool of himself and yes injury limited his chances I hope he can be re-embraced by MFC because he was a valuable contributor.
  10. I can see Martin, Clark and Jamar but adding Gawn to a starting position is a stretch for mine. Gawn is a first ruck no ways about it Jamar is a first ruck with some ability to go forward and help out in defense spoiling and what not Martin is a utility he can ruck play forward (has less ability forward) and can hold down a defensive position play one on one Clark is a ruck who is suited to a forward role so he can play forward and pinch hit in ruck so Jamar and Gawn roles overlap too much these 2 need to separate roles more to play in the same side Martin can ruck and go back flexibility means little overlap Clark can stay forward focus on this area and maybe do a little rucking if required. 3 out 4 can play in the same side.
  11. He never really committed to the club his motivations were born out of self interest and in a team sport your destined to fail. He may go on and be successful with GWS but he will now never be respected. Of course the do-gooders will excuse the money grabbing behaviour as the absence of any real choice, the confrontation of insurmountable odds, a deal too good to refuse. But let's be sure of one thing there was a choice to be to be made and he chose the path to fast fulfilment and the ultimate, unjustified pay day instead of letting his actions reflect his worth monetarily and character wise. His behaviour was callous, disloyal, unjustifiable, disrespectful, greedy and reflected no appreciation for his privileged position. He had the opportunity to do something wonderful, he had the opportunity to be loyal instead he chose the path to corruption and self satisfaction. Important valuable lessons were learnt about resolve and resoluteness I hope I never see the public pandering to petulant wonder kid which was performed throughout the course of 2010. I stand by the fact if you want to be successful you are moving in the same direction as group and you cut the drift wood loose. Post 186 an ultimatum should of been made and this situation should of been rectified there and then. Commit or leave, show us you want to be here or go. The club is not a waiting room for you to comfortably bide your time while you suck your thumbs and wait till the time is right for you. The club/players confronted by intense pressure should have resolved to show some pride and demand that loyalty and dedication aren't transient themes you either reflect them in your actions or you don't and in absence of recognisable proof it doesn't exist. 'Whatever it takes' is the club motto and in this case it was made a mockery of. Not from an administrative or dealing point of view but from a team sense. We will get there 'Whatever it takes'. We will allow a person to grandstand but we'll get there 'Whatever it takes'. We will put up with disruption, disharmony selfishness, the uncommitted, self indulgence, procrastination but we will get there 'Whatever it takes'. To reflect 2010 and this saga it should of been 'Whatever anyone wants'. Before criticising for hindsight I called for a stand to be made well before this embarrassment became reality, when we could of been seen to have executed strength through decisiveness. Alas we allowed this petulance to call all the shots without ever making any real noise ourselves. Que-sera the indelible by-line
  12. MFC has great loyal supporters, there is a high supporter to member conversion, and yes building a supporter base through a very difficult time in the last 3 to 4 years has been remarkable.
  13. I liked our play for Clark - I never thought it was realistic because he wanted to go home and said so from the start but it was bold
  14. 3 picks inside top 9 next year in the first draft in 3 years that hasn't been corrupted and is supposedly a bumper year is the stupidest idea going around. really? at least we'd ensure value for the mercenary.
  15. Jordan Lisle is who I'd go for next
  16. This is what will occur with Maric and I'm beginning to think will also occur with Warnock
  17. He wants to go home for family reasons it's always been his preference out of Freo and Melb as a speculative player I'd pick Freo everyday of the week get there injuries right and they are top 4 material we on the other hand are speculative at best and he is still just as far away from his family. this was all part of Brisbane forcing up Clark's price we conveniently assisted them.
  18. His preference has always been to go west and While we made a play it was speculative at best. Why would you draft a guy through the PSD if he has refused to come to you during trade period The Clark deal is dead we are best to move on and I believe secure elite midfield talent either by trade or by development with compo picks We should of said to GWS well give you 12 and 2 compo picks for pick 2 and 5 and drafted us someone to replace the traitor
  19. Bingo We might have some trees to shake Loosing 2 major sponsors at once is a massive blow and I wonder if the guy in his jocks is wondering if he over spent
  20. Not the stupidest idea going around we need to get value for mercenary 31 we need elite talent especially in the midfield. We cant get any through trade we have to develop them then
  21. Let me get this straight we loose Maric - while he has little value and will probably go PSD fair enough We give Brisbane pick 12 and get Tom Walsh - who is tom walsh is he valued at pick 12 and Maric I would like what your taking.
  22. Bruise Free Footy They like the outside game not willing to crack in and get dirty 186 Stands for Nothing - Denham is only repeating a commonly held view, an extreme one but there are plenty out there that see us as irrelevant Cant keep a No 1 draft pick (Martin stayed at his club and would of received a similar offer) Reoccurring themes surely, of course they are only perceptions but they are very strong and mud sticks that's why people can sue for deformation. I take relief that the admin seems to have been separated and what appears to be a serious coach appointed the fact that the footy department has been bolstered I believe means we are finally serious about improving on field performance.
  23. so we should tank to get the best deal for those compensation picks and secure elite talent we need to replace and get.
  24. if we get him he has to sign a long term deal at least 4 years. He is 25 years old and homesick I wouldn't be putting all my eggs in this basket. He'd be a good get but I think we are only being stated as an option to motivate Fremantle. What happens then with Martin.
  25. They now have picks 27, 31 and 32 contrary to popular belief I believe Warnock has currency KPFB doesn't grow on trees yes he has his downsides and limitations but if we didn't have Frawley who is and AA Warnock would get a game every week. and BB makes a good point it might take our pick 54 so we might trade to upgrade our pick maybe even to 27.
