  1. 23 to much to ask? I was always of the opinion that a straight swap for Dawes would seem a fate trade for both parties and obviously we paid pick 20 +
  2. What possible trade options are there? Any players? Pick 23 or 30?
  3. Haha yeah of course I don't count JV in the draft now he is officially a Melbourne player.
  4. Not alot to be honest maybe a handful. From what I did see (and read) sheahan showed promise and spent a fare bit of his time down back when most of his football has been a key forward. Yep Fitzpatrick played some good footy for Casey I just don't see him as an afl player, watched him closly in the tac the year he was drafted didnt like him then and nothing has changed my mind since. Everychance he will proove me wrong as the footy department seem happy enough too persist with him. Also pretty sure we can cut Fitzpatrick and upgrade sheahan if we like!
  5. Thanks. I guess if we get pick 27 we have done pretty well. I also agree with you that pick 58 should be enough to get pederson from north considering they let Mckintosh go for 35ish was it? That then gives us 4 and 27 in the draft.
  6. I'm pretty sure pederson is contracted. I don't want to over rate our players but is band 5 for moloney enough? I'm not educated on the way the fa compinsation works. So for arguments sake If Byrnes was band 5 and Moloney band 3 what happens?
  7. If they have paired Gysberts up with Grimnes as a training partner that could be the best decision over summer. Grimmes is one of the most dedicated AFL footballers in the land with exceptional leadership ability. Gysberts IMO has huge upside if he is able to get himself supremely fit could be the player we a screaming out for I really really hope everything clicks for Gys.
  8. No way sheahan has alot more upside then quite a few on our list. From what I have seen I have really liked hope we keep him. Would prefer to see Fitzpatrick get the chop first can't understand all the love for him!
  9. I'd be happy with the bogan redneck in our team! Pics can be deceiving I remember one a few years back when watts looked huge. Having said all that pretty happy to get this Young bloke pick 4 looks to be a pretty handy one this year as 2 - 5 all appear to be pretty handy.
  10. Churchill hey I'm in traralgon that is very local don't know of him though?
  11. I'm pretty sad to see him go. Having said that I understand we are now into rebuild part 3 new coach new plans. Have to accept we are not a premeriship team (i know captain obvious) so lets build one. I honestly thought we had the team several years ago with Miller, McLean, Moloney, Rivers, green, Junior etc but we had a major fail somewhere. Good luck riv I wish him well.
  12. Really?? My understanding is he was being courted by essendon late 2011 but elected to stay.
  13. Yep that's the question I asked. Maybe Martin garland and petterd for pick 3 is more reasonable? I still think ricky has good potentiol but is onviously on the outer with the dees, but hey that's only my opinion.
  14. Hi Nudge Firstly thanks for your "inside info posts" very enjoyable, of course anyone would be naive to think many or most trades and delistings would come to fruition. as like all clubs the mfc would have a plan of attack and see what transpires. I for one (and probably speak for majority demonlanders) would be dissapointed if you no longer felt you wanted to contribute to this forum.
  15. What about two of jamar or martin and petterd orgarland for gws pick 3 we can use on Grundy plus wines @ pick 4? Either way jamar or Martin as our number 1 ruck with Grundy (only going of reports he is ready) 2nd Ruck/forward?
  16. Would you take Ball Judd or hodge? If all the reports are somewhat true and these new draftee's are nearly as good as being discussed and reach there potential it won't matter much will it?
  17. He is contracted can not walk unless collingwood agree to rip up his contract (not likely)
  18. Pick 20 is more then enough IMO I'd preferably like to see us trade Martin and a 3rd rounder for Dawes
  19. is pederson a little overrated? I see him as a very Simular player to James sellar can't see any team needing two of these players I'm still of the very strong opinion we need some more mids in this draft or at the least trade our draft picks away for established mids.
  20. That sounds reasonable but is there any chance at all we could get koby Stevens somehow in a deal? For me Barry, hogan Dawes, viney, ray and Stevens plus pick 4 and picks?? In the draft sounds more balanced?
  21. Re read post. What part of this suggests this person is a troll?? Simply possed a couple of questions. Back on topic Mitch Clarke is the man you build your team around so what ever works I guess Dawes will be handy not so sure on pederson looks to be very Simular type to sellar. We do lack a crumber could this be jetta, Davey or burns? IMO watts has alot of ability to be our utility if required can play back forward or midfield but I see his best position on the wing
  22. Here we go now we will see how well the dess negotiate. pick 20 is the max would rather see us go harder in a deal inc pick 20 plus a supplementary player that collingwood see potential in (maybe petterd) and we get Dawes plus a second or max third rounder we must not overpay!
  23. Wonder what we paid? I'm all for getting experience but in supposedly the strongest draft in recent history we have given most of our picks away?
  24. Part of me does wish him luck but the other half doesn't want to see him succeed don't know if I could handle seeing Jurrah at another club
