I tend too agree but unril we see them play who knows make a judgment than there were other players i would have prefered but lets face it the media hype up certain players its a guessing game to an extent lets hope our team of midfielders can win a flag hey!

Anthony Morabito and John Butcher will turn out too be very good..... if either slipped too pick 11 it could be the best drafting result ever (can't see Morabito slipping far, possibly but unlikely Butcher) Morabito has some serious X-Factor Butcher is a strong pack mark, good endurance and will be an Elite Forward In my opinion these two blokes arn't that far behind, But clearly we are kissed too get one of the possible top draft quinella's of all time..... Two more sleeps i know how excited the kids get about Santa all over again

Yes Billy great post good too see someone with a very positive but realistic outlook i love the MFC as much as anyone on here and like you have just turned 30 so i have not had much joy but year after year my love and passion grows in the past i have been critical on the club and players but in the past few years (probably since DB took the rains) i have seen a club on the brink do everything in its power to reinvent itself and that alone gives me joy.... I don't beleive clubs need to "bottom out" its a week excuse but in our situation it was essential for the rebuild of a club that is 150yrs old very very close to not being around for much longer. IMO the people that MFC have within the club are the right people on the same page with the same vision for now and most importantly the future. They are not just lookin at the next 5-7 years but the next 10-20 and that comes back to my opinion on "to bottom out" if managed right we will hopefull challenge 3-5 times every 10-15 years that is and should be the target for any AFL club and i can feel we are on that path. Its exciting and so it should be GO DEES and once again if you know any MFC followers that are yet to sign as a member get on there case 40,000 members next year would be fantastic and when we really hit our straps we will convert the next generation too follow the mighty RED and BLUE sky is the limit.

We all need to move on from the ball thing yes its disapointing that ball didn't even talk too us or nominate us a prefered choice and lets face it we (demonlanders) all follow MFC with a passion and can see a bright future, but in the eyes of most the general football community we are not a threat (yet) and lets face it we have not been a big player sice the 50's and early 60's I love the MFC and everytime a player overlooks us i feel hurt like everyone else. Luke Ball does not barack for Melbourne like we all do i don't feel a need for name calling just look to the next lot of players available and get someone else with potential there are alot of good juniors out there and if a player like Mitch Thorpe prooves his fitness and attitude i'll barack for him in the Red and Blue as i do most of the players.... Good Luck Luke i think you made a mistake not talking to MFC and had the chance to be part of something Big the next MELBOURNEFc dinisty........

Majak may only be 193cm but without sounding like i know a great deal about him looks to have a pretty fare leap and that seems to be a trend in the modern day ruckman aka Patty Ryder who can alos play KPP. As for Thorpe i tend too agree with u there and i have full faith that people within the professional MFC sanctum will do there pre exam fitness and phsyc tests if deemed all clear i am all for him who would surely like to proove the footy world wrong and repay the dees
