  1. that's not how it works is it beating the premiers does not equal best team in the comp
  2. I rewatched the Dogs game the other night, can't believe we lost that, we were fantastic. Our best four were Scully, Trengove, Grimes and McKenzie, Watts and Jurrah weren't even there neither were Petterd, Morton... clearly we have huge improvement to come from this group, we will be capable of beating anyone a shake even this year
  3. could have something to do with the fact we played them for four hours and finished a point down last year and now we are clearly a better side
  4. now how many times are you going to request THIS thread gets closed? people happened to be interested in Scully you know
  5. Very well done I agree almost exactly, i'll just adjust with one extra win, a big upset over a gun side, hopefully Collingwood. That'll be 12 wins, finish 7th or 8th
  6. well I've already said a number of times we were 8th in attendances despite finishing only 12th so that would make us above average in terms of our 'turn-upishness' when we are soon having top-of-the-table clashes with Collingwood and Hawthorn we will have gigantic crowds we're not North Melbourne, stop telling me we are
  7. hmmm it's not as bad as that last year's final figures 1.Collingwood 57,408 2.Hawthorn 53,978 5.Essendon 40,589 6.Carlton 40,480 7.Geelong Cats 40,326 9.St Kilda 39,021 10.Richmond 35,960 11.Melbourne 33,358 12.Western Bulldogs 32,077 15.North Melbourne 26,953 just 7200 more puts us up there as 3rd biggest Vic club, we are sure to see a swelling as we become a top4 side, we could certainly get there. we were also 8th in the comp for average attendances last year, this will improve also
  8. you'll be home pretty early still, why on Earth they have scheduled it then expecially since there are only 4 games to be scheduled for the round, is beyond me they should play it Casey on Saturday arvo
  9. ah right sorry pretty rare and retty weird to omit one of your club's colours from your jumper then again its Freo we're talking about
  10. 'Hey, this guy was a great player and he was captain. Despite the fact he has no coaching experience, let's appoint him as senior coach and assume everything will work out' Let's just hope the same thing happens to Essendon
  11. agreed most of the people that get stuck into him probably make a mess of themselves every Saturday night too the difference is nobody is watching them like a hawk wherever they go
  12. newsflash: North Melbourne is an opposition club, opposition clubs are the enemy if they were to disappear it makes our future more secure, simple as that
  13. so will you also be retiring Davey, Jamar, Moloney, Rivers and Green?
  14. exactly what I was going to say best man gets the job and he is only 26 anyway FFS
  15. oh really, Essendon are the 5th biggest membership base in the comp and they are only 7200 in front of us, there are 5 clubs between us and them, we could well pass them all over the next 2 years as we go from spooner to a top 4 side, we are hardly straggling far behind and on attendance we are 8th so that is bang on average isnt it try checking your facts now go on trying to convince me we are carp like North i can see why you would want to do that
  16. Judd was effectively traded for pick 3 AND 4 also but McLean shouldnt count he is a pick 11
  17. Disagreed. 21 members of the opposition were dismantled but one of them was BOG and the difference between an 85 point loss and a 110 point loss. Morton is very overrated at this stage.
  18. Allow me to be the next to join the ‘I have a source’ group. In thousands of posts on here, ‘ology and bigfooty I have never claimed such a thing. I am going on 3rd hand info but each source is as solid as can be, going right to the top levels of the club. It is impossible to imagine anyone is having a lend of anyone. Just not the types. Scully hasn’t spoken to GWS and they are very confident he will stay at Melbourne. There seems to be a lot of chatter headed that way now. Cheers
  19. that is crazy talk, he is coming 5th as a second year player in a team of stars, he is obviously rated! He is beating FRawley, All-Australian and B+F runner-up last year!
  20. in the FReo game last year where we had that huge 20 minute period and kicked like 6 goals, there was an important moment in the FReo forwardline. Ballantyne came through and gave Jones a good bump off the ball, gathered it and turned to head towards goal but the Joel MacDonald express was bearing straight at him and absolutely smashed him into the turf for a deliciously sickening tackle. He doesn't mess around.
  21. excellent pickup in a line of great recruits by the club. Delisted by Brisbane, thanks fellas, and thanks for Jack Grimes too
  22. can we officially refer to Grimes as 'Good Times' from now on?
