  1. im going to say Grimes just to be different but I really mean the man below
  2. hahah leave Tom alone bag Sylvia instead! This thread keeps on giving!
  3. disagree if i had to choose between he, Watts and Trenners it would be a dead heat
  4. one of the worst posts I've ever read getting bagged for not high-fiving somebody before somebody else and for taking a mark when a teammate could have collided with him please follow a different sport
  5. yeah winning by 15 goals with a list of kids just sucks doesnt it
  6. Evans, Gawn, Tapscott, Nicholson, Gysberts and Howe have all started off their careers so well, people talk about us building a list of high draft picks like Watts and Scully, what about these blokes putting their hands up to be part of it. Exciting stuff
  7. like Trengove he has absolutely no weaknesses
  8. 5.5/6.5 ninth on the ladder on percentage three highly winnable games coming up September!
  9. any comments from Pickering today or is he waiting for our next loss what about the rest of you any changes in your outlook
  10. Incorrect - pick 12 used on Moloney Bate was pick 13 which was just our given pick that year, we got Dunn 2 picks later as a result of the Jolly trade WYL - who gives a rats about what happened in the 60s, that's like me going 'oh we have a history of consecutive flags therefore Bailey will achieve the same as Norm Smith' it makes no sense as it has zero relevance to 2011 and you cant count Jolly as we foolishly traded him for pick 15, that does not match your description of young guns walking out on us does it? Besides, Jolly was incredibly average prospect at the time of his trade, he was no Tom Scully Thompson is the only one, and there was nought we could do about it, and got ourselves a decent replacement anyway so your assertion was and is garbage
  11. what a joke name one decent player we have lost in the last decade apart from Scott Thompson, for whom we acquired Moloney, current VC and probable BnF winner
  12. firstly who cares secondly where was his comment last week and where will it be this week when we get up again we're on a rollercoaster right now there is no use crying about it just continue supporting or you show yourselves to be as weak and temperamental as that which you criticise
  13. did he or did he not explicitily state that he wasnt blaming the result on the umpires. Amazing. regardless of the final scoreline we were incredibly shafted in that match we were still in it when Trengove kicked an awesome goal that they took off him, could have been a momentum shifter, you never know
  14. not the first time i have read something like this from you and i have it say it is one of the most footy-idiotic (footyodic?) things I have ever read if you have ever been part of a football team you will know that there are a certain few at every club who keep all the talk up... these are recognised as important cogs in the side as they lift the others to new levels, it doesnt get much more fundamental a concpet than that.. why on Earth would you bag someone like Beamer for being that guy, particularly since he is a lifelong Demon supporter and obviously loves the club i tell you what i would have a lot to say if i was in that huddle
  15. not to mention we don't have any brown paper bags to give us a chance of not getting shafted
  16. way too much smoke for there not to be a fire, gone for mine
  17. not a single person in the country raised an eyebrow when we selected Morton at 4 the question if anything was 'what are you smoking WC taking Masten instead at 3' or possibly even Carlton/Richmond taking him at 1/2 to call it a recruiting stuffup now is just so stupid it beggars belief, same goes for Watts, Scully and Trengove, they all picked themselves as mentioned above Watts and Morton would probably be killing it now if they were at the Pies
  18. agreed, the longer this goes on the more his reputation climbs and the greater the pressure every time in the future when him having a bad game correlates with us losing, everyone, mostly our own supporters, will be like 'cant believe we went through all that anguish and paid so much for this guy, he's totally overrated' etc etc he is having his tires pumped up way too much and it is no good for anyone
  19. yep you forget though if you are over a certain age everyone on demonland hates you automatically
  20. I never cease to be amazed by the utter stupidity of this type of 'analysis' a)it's too early to tell how good these players will be, particularly since injury is involved b)what about every other club that 'missed' those later picks c)how do you know what effect the actual ability/position/list of the clubs they were recruited to has affected their development d)Prendergast is not a clairvoyant apart from those minor considerations you have made a fine argument. FMD.
  21. dick is another word for penis
  22. he is definitely more of a highlight machine than Scully, better-rounded too
