  1. we are paying 6.25 three 10-goal losses in our last three encounters more pain ahead
  2. yeah fair call except i wouldn't call 42-49 inside-50s (six-sevenths) 'well behind' .. 3 out of every 7 clearances is not THAT bad either... clutching at straws?
  3. A few choice stats from the first 3 rounds: disposals efficiency% clearances inside50 goals behinds Melbourne Average 371 71.2 32.3 41.7 5.7 8.7 League Average 360 70.9 40.0 49.4 12.6 11.1 spot the odd one out!
  4. I am tipping he will get zero and it will be totally excused due to it being his first game back and wet conditions
  5. Hey Dawes you're back in the side, oh and by the way, you're now the number 1 forward at the club all of a sudden.. as a matter of fact we need you to kick our entire score, good luck with that
  6. It is precisely through self-reflection that I am able to make these comments.
  7. Yeah OK there is no connection between being sad and depression, and you say I am the one with no idea.
  8. You should be suspended for name calling. I knew I would cop it, but you don't have the right to abuse somebody for not sharing the same opinion as you do. I would wager everything I own that in terms of intelligence, education and achievement, I would destroy you. I also have vast experience in the subject that is being discussed. You have no right.
  9. I've done nothing of the sort, I have made a prediction. Huge difference.
  10. No... but that is not the case is it? If depression is a disease then I guess I am also diseased but guess what? I am going to get up and go to work tomorrow.. and not to play footy at the MCG in front of thousands, I think I could definitely deal with that. I don't know what this says to our young supporters either, if things get hard just chuck it in, being sad is a disease you know.
  11. One day he is going to look back and realise he threw away a dream and let down 30,000 people and he's going to think 'WTF did I do that for?'. Then he is going to dwell on that for the rest of his life. I would think this move is unlikely to be the best one for his future mental health. What would be better would be to heal his foot, go through rehab, come back and win a Coleman Medal. Wouldn't that be good for someone's emotional health? I know personally what it is like to be struggling emotionally and the last thing you want to do is throw in the towel as he is obviously doing. I know the garbage that mental health professionals speak and I would like to have a stern word with whoever it is that has advised him to go down this path. Horrible advice. Quite frankly he is being a coward, which is bad enough for anyone but when you are a person who is in a position that affects 30,000 others you should be aware of the responsibility that came with a dream being handed to you. Extremely disappointed.
  12. You are wasting your breath. Whoever is hiding behind this has never even responded to the multiple complaints like yours that have occurred over several years. The system is obviously erroneous, how can it possibly not be, but the administrator is more concerned with not spending any time on it. I just observe people's votes and disregard the leaderboard as it is worthless.
  13. very closely agree joeboy, bit harsh on Watts though about 6-7 decent players today
  14. Roos is the highest paid person in the AFL and his results thus far are zero
  15. Facts are in 2012 he was 7th in the competition for goals per game and he was in a bloody awful side He had a solid 5 years of prime footy ahead of him The game he got injured he had 4 goals before quarter time Let's not kid ourselves and go down the 'he wasn't THAT good' road
  16. I am looking for league standard footballers to take the field and give 100%! FCS! Isn't that what you want!? FCS somebody made that video which shows Frawley red-handed not giving a rats, how is this is a matter of interpretation, how is it excused or tolerated
  17. not to mention all the ones we have actually held onto have vastly underperformed
  18. why can't you? he's the 1.5 million dollar man and he's just coached a 93 point loss, i think some bold statements are entirely appropriate, if not necessary
  19. as I said : "according to Roos himself, winning games at this point is secondary to installing a properly functioning culture" in other words I don't care how good their forwards are or who would play FB we won't win either way how are you supposed to overhaul a shoddy culture if you don't make a few heads roll
  20. I am saying he is the (at least) 4th consecutive coach we have had that refuses to drop senior players when it is obvious to supporters that are not giving 100% for any coach that should be no.1 on the list on non-negotiable rules according to Roos himself, winning games at this point is secondary to installing a properly functioning culture. A player wouldn't dare dish up the garbage those two have been dishing this year at a decent club because they would be dropped, at the MFC you get away with it
  21. Agreed. It's just not what it used to be. absurd amount of injuries rubbish, inconsistent umpiring constant rule changing and softening of the game we have subs now yeah OK might as well change that after 150 years increasing gap between have and havenots footy department expenditure unfair fixturing wtf is friday night footy terrible crowds seeing the loko of horror on fellow supporters faces tossbag [censored] commentators/media talking poo obsessive fascination and over-analysis with statistics athletes not footballers ridiculous money/greed/paper bags/lack of loyalty talk talk talk and no results at the MFC irrelevance/disrespect and mockery the price of everything always increasing and midstrength beer in plastic cups expansion teams seeing young talent at other clubs while our high picks always flounder not having a genuine superstar at the club ever tanking, brock mclean, 'bruise-free' footy 186 mark 'pre-game speech' neeld tom effing scully liam jurrah and now mitch clark we have got to be the most tested and jaded of all sports fans in the world I reckon
  22. yeah it does actually what is he going to die from playing football FCS this club is soft and inept in every possible way
