  1. most overrated player in history
  2. what's more frightening, that post, or the fact it has a bunch of likes? the odds of any side losing the opening two rounds 8 years in a row is 1-in-512.. so yeah that is less than 0.2%.. so it is pathetic and inexcusable go ahead and be glib to make yourself feel better though
  3. he's played in 3 grand finals vs Hogan's zero afl games fcs
  4. always goes back to the same question though - if Watts was with West Coast and Toumpas with Port, how would they be going? Do you really think Wines would be looking as good if he was wearing red and blue? People need to step back and look at the big picture, how is it possible that we draft dud after dud, surely we would have got one good one by accident by now! It's the club, nothing works here and if you got drafted to us you would cry
  5. The point is that this 'play the kids at all costs' is a road we have been going down for 8 years and has produced the worst result imaginable. PLay them when they deserve to be in AFL match and increase the chances of winning with a bit of experience. Again, don't rate Byrnes at all but this auto-selection of kids has to stop
  6. I'm not pumping up Byrnes or downgrading JKH. I am just sick to death of reading on this forum year after year how good some kid is and never actually seeing the results of it. Everything at this club is just B or C grade, when our players hit their peak they are always a rung below the competition and there is no reason to suggest anything is going to change for JKH, Hogan, Salem or any other sucker unlucky enough to be drafted by this organisation. SICK OF IT!
  7. Of course it is... and of course we continue to get shoddy fixturing because the league and the other clubs don't rate us and sponsors don't want a bar of us. I know if I was looking to put my business on the jumper of an AFL team I would not be selecting the side that plays on sunday evenings and gets flogged every time they take the field We need to WIN GAMES to make money, it's a very simple concept
  8. Nobody with a functional brain can excuse losing like that to anybody, at any time of year, with any amount of players out. How can anybody argue that we are better off now than we were under Neeld or Bailey, obviously nothing has changed and the red and blue remains a disgrace and the laughing stock of the competition
  9. you're even saving me the trouble of quoting things that need to be presented to you again Why don't we get a sporting goods company to pay us to wear flippers instead of football boots? Sure it will cost us games but think of the money. Shame that after 8 years of the embarrassing torture that is supporting this club we won't have any members or anyone turning up to games. You are dead wrong when you say short term financial decisions supersede onfield results. The biggets earner of all is winning games and having a club you can be proud to support
  10. yeah you're right McKenzie is a quality tagger who shuts down the big name midfielder week in, week out. No other gun players turn up to play Melbourne and just do as they please. We have it all sorted out
  11. yes I'm sure if we just chuck these kids out there they will all turn out to be club champions just like Trengove, Morton, Watts, Toumpas, Gysberts yaddayaddayadda so much realised potential at this club
  12. well you've managed to address precisely zero of the points I made and reiterated the same idiotic message you started with. It's a clear disadvantage for a club that least needs disadvantages.. what do you work for the NT government or something? staggering
  13. oh beat him did he, who won the match? A team that has been in existence for 3 years, that's who 18 goals to 2 after qtr time. If you are prepared to accept that under any conditions you are sound asleep
  14. every big name player at every club just does as they please when they come up against Melbourne, and most of the time it seems like we don't even try or even have a plan to stop them. It's as if they just turn up to the game and see what happens.. who's playing on this G.Ablett bloke? Effing amateurs
  15. are you serious? 40? my god... what kind of cretins do we have running this club and from what cereal box did they obtain their various degrees
  16. um no you are wrong. What is your argument? It's basically 'well we suck anyway so we might as well suck more' please explain to me this 'foothold' you speak of in sponsorship and members in the NT (how many is that? about 20?) and how that has a higher value than everything that is lost when the team loses by 100 points it's obviously a disadvantage in the following weeks, clubs like Collingwood and Hawthorn must have a giggle at us when we turn up badly prepared and the proceed to [censored] us without mercy the disaster that was yesterday has probably done more damage than will be recovered with 20 NT games. I am sure I am not alone in feeling like all the good will that started to build up with the Roos tenure has just completely been wiped away and we might as well be at round 2, 2013 with that [censored] Neeld giving the worst pre-game speech you've ever seen, live on national TV, to precursor a flogging that would normally be seen at junior football level. I am absolutely sick of it. IDGAF what anyone says, reigning premiers, preseason, missing key players, yes that's all true but we were outscored 18 goals to 2 after quarter time and quite frankly we don't deserve to be in the Australian Football League if that's the pathetic level of competition we dish out. yet you are in favour of putting more things like this pathetic NT venture against us we have to be the dumbest sporting organisation in the world and clearly some of our supporters follow suit edit: BTW that censored word is F-L-O-G. A perfectly legitimate word. the censorship on here is about as functional as the melbourne football club oh dear the second censored word is I-D-I-O-T ooooh naughty naughty words
  17. agreed DW we have gotten to the point that there is enough evidence to suggest that there definitely is a follow-on effect from playing up there given the desperate, pathetic basket case of a club we are we certainly don't need extra disadvantages working against us for those at the clubs who do the books, they need to put a dollar figure on the amount of money lost when we trot out there and embarrass ourselves with yet another 100 point loss. It's 'priceless' in a bad way.
  18. that would be the 18 year old with a grand total of zero AFL games
  19. oh yeah you genius you saw it coming after doing very well against last years #3 and #5 and we all deserve your ridicule for being upset about it arrogant, stupid post
  20. I genuinely thought we would not suffer anything close to a loss like this under Roos for 2 weeks being a Melbourne supporter wasn't a nightmare
