According to the Herald Sun, no.

Considering Neil Craig is on the MFC staff, I'd definitely trust the club's judgement on Knights. If he's not chased by us, there's probably a good reason.
-
They would if they get a decent trade for Caddy. This would allow them to get the inside mid they're crying out for later in the first round (which is where most of them are rated at the moment).
-
At least it'd be better than the 'League of Their Own' list management style we're currently going with.........
-
Would love him, but there's almost no chance. However, as we are all quantum physicists here, we should know that nothing is impossible.....
-
Wouldn't be surprised if Carlton whip out the brown paper bags, to be honest........

There's a big chance, especially if GC still hold pick 2 on draft day. They don't need another ruckman with their stocks, but GWS' cupboard is all but bare. Brogan Giles Phillips Downie Not great. I'd say GWS will be doing everything in their power to get GC's pick 2, and therefore Grundy. However, this could also work in our favour re: Viney in 2nd round. So many mind games to be played before November, and why I think it's not the laydown misere others seem to think re: Whitfield at #1.

Really warming to the idea of Mayes. Hopefully we use the interview stage at the draft camp well, for a change! Surely, with all this FD spending, we have a club psychologist? Get them up there and earning their paycheck!

It's because he shaved his mo. They realised he wasn't really there to clean the pool.

We've already seen that Valenti is yet another NQR list-clogger. Can't believe how short the memories of some here are.
-
No, we don't. If the Blues finish 9th, our 'mid-1st round' will be one pick behind theirs, as a 'mid-1st round' means only before teams contesting finals. Therefore, barring anyone else getting and activating compensation picks (which, bear in mind, can still happen), this pick is pick 13.

Lance Franklin a late withdrawal ... again
Dr. Mubutu replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Surely the 3-strikes rumour would be covered by it not being an AFL-imposed suspension? I'd say they're trying to distance themselves completely from it, and the best way to do so is by not mentioning it specifically at all. -
Nah, let's go the whole hog. Lose by 32 goals. Records were made to be broken, right? http://demonwiki.org/Round+17+1979

Well done KM. Always gives his all.

I assume that it's: You don't know (censored) about (censored).

Beams signs for 3 ... Cloke edges closer to Dees?
Dr. Mubutu replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ha. Ha. No. They are FA's, and hold absolutely no value on the trade table. Try again. -
Excellent to see Matthews back in again. Inspirational stuff.

And for those who deigned it necessary to bash RudeBoy earlier in the thread, From the Age article at http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/jurrah-gone-but-not-leaving-demons-20120816-24ap2.html

Ugh. Now I feel so dirty.

Barrack for Carlton. If Essendon fall out of the 8, our mid-first round essentially moves up 1 pick, due to Essendon taking Daniher F/S.
-
Yep, just tweeted by the AFL:

But of those, only Cheney was a trade. To get Blease, GWS would have to either get permission from us, or trade. All of the other players (other than Bruce), were delisted by us and subsequently picked up by other clubs. There is approximately a 0% chance of Blease being delisted by the MFC at the end of the season.

Surprised he's not talked up more on this board, but I'd love to get this kid if we somehow manage to pilfer Viney in the second round. Playing as a KPF due to lack of fitness, has managed a bag of 10 in the TAC cup, but is more of a bullocking midfielder. Seems to be drifting down the rankings due to a broken leg, but since this is an injury unlikely to reoccur, and we are (unfortunately) well-acquainted with the recovery required from this with both Strauss and Blease going down with the same injury, surely he's one we'd be looking closely at? http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/bendigos-jake-stringer-a-budding-afl-star/story-e6frf9io-1226341933066 He's also played as the 23rd man in the VFL for Bendigo Gold, and managed to get in the bests with 18 disposals and 7 tackles in a losing side against Geelong. Many in the know have compared his playstyle to Pavlich, in that he can be both an effective midfielder and KPF (albeit undersized). Would like to hear others' thoughts if we were to pick him up at pick 4? I, for one, would love for this to happen.

Oh I hope so. Then an investigation into their salary cap. My mouth is watering at the prospect. -
Unless I'm mistaken, wasn't Maric touted as a definite first-round pick with 'elite' kicking skills pre-draft? Our problem was not being aware to his emo ways.
