Well- I'll explain my thoughts- as a good ruck rover like Goodes, Ling etc..they have stamina,great defensive skills and a great motor-especially for the first,say 5 metres.. I think Garland can negate extremely well with great defensive skills similar to how Cam Bruce has played over the years.Actually thinking about it,he may make a great substitute for Bruce later on.Could play him in multiple positions. Needs to develop his motor & stamina to enable this to occur.Then he would have developed great flexible skills.

He told me earlier in the year the way he had been growing he may have got over 210cms.Can you confirm this? I mentioned at least four weeks ago under the thread talls that he would be an ideal pick up for us. A beanpole whom has played CHF & FF with brief ruckwork. Formally played with Collingwood but definately shows promise. Would be an ideal 3rd round or fourth round pick up but rumours afloat we may even try to gain him with our second pick.Do not know how this will fit in if we trade and take Hale whom is around same height with Sinclair(around 200 cms- 89 kls just turned 21 last week..shows promise no doubt.

I thought Strauss played this year- Debuted and played two games. I think Tapscott debut is the most promising- will develop into an elite footballer but WJ's boy- will be the real telling one that will make us standout from the rest given time.

I don't agree- Brown has drammatically improved-in particular his fitness.

With regard to PJ, don't forget what has happened to Jamar and Leigh Brown over the last couple of years- talls don't flourish till they are around 26/7. However I am not saying PJ will- but I think we should keep him for a year if we don't pick up a replacement.

I think your summation is quite accurate-Warnock ahead of Tarrant.I'd keep Warnock as a back up-without him we haven't got a call if we have an injury except Martin.

Would you swap Scully or Trengove for him?

Two that spring to mine were Crosswell and Carman- both could play football and play UP. I think he could make a rookie selection or a very late pick.

Maybe Mitch Clark & Jared Brennan or Sherman
