  1. yeah i'm going so i'll give you a run down of what i can remember, but im not gonna bring a camera and a note pad like some do
  2. im not trying to bash martin, but i dont think he is a great ruckman, much better suited front or back. But i do understand he was out only option tonight. On another note, until he got injured (or a corkie) i thought spencer did alright on sandilands.
  3. thought Joel MacDonald played alright too, and chip did some good stuff. few things i noticed like, davey not playing half the game, grimes is better in defense in my opinion. But i gotta say the skills.... arrghh... not great
  4. Like the title says http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/demons-lose-tapscott-to-surgery-for-34-months-20100221-on4c.html
  5. I see what you're saying, but this is NAB. who cares? I mean you can blame the AFL, but i wouldn't want to offend them considering the pretty good fixture they have given us this year. some would argue it is almost as good as collingwoods which is unheard of for melbourne. I will take this one bad scheduled time, (which i have no dramas watching because there is nothing else on tv anyway) over a s*%^$y year full of badly scheduled times anyday.
  6. Everyone RELAX. like many of you i made the trip down to the fields on saturday, and watched what was essentially an exhibition match. I was very impressed with what i saw both on and off the field, with the way the day was organized, and also the amount of people that made the trip. I thought i saw more people there on sat than i did at Dees, vs Kangas last year. But that is not my point. My point is that i am reading a few posts by others on this forum singling out players like Maric, Dunn and Jetta, about how they're not going to make it as players, or they played atrocious, or "his kicking was off i heard he was a great kick", or "Trengove is the new Robert Flower," or "why didn't scully get picked at NO.2?" You can NOT base your opinion on a player, playing at AFL level, on an exhibition match. A few people have forgotten that Melbourne played themselves on saturday, and that if you take the good players out of both teams... you have a pretty healthy looking team. Plus there was more than a couple players who play at casey, were included in this game. I would just like to call to attention, that if you saw something you liked or something you didn't like on saturday, please realize that it was just a day, not a serious competitive football match, and weather you want to praise Jack Trengove for being the "next BIG thing" or bash Juice Newton for "playing below expectation". I'm not wanting people to stop voicing their opinions, i just want people to panic less, and remember that we will still prob not finish top 8 this year.
  7. Let me take you back to the end of the season last year, when i made a bet with a mate of mine, that i would run 1km, in the buff, on nepean hwy that we would finish higher than Richmond. Looking good
  8. I heard the tatt is a tribute to his grandfather. and that pic is him
  9. if whispering_jack gives us a full report, i will kiss him
  10. can't vouch for it, but it sucks nut sack if it's true
  11. who cares, he couldn't get a game anyway. gives geelong a good out to get rid of him
  12. one of the worst statements i've heard. Rioli > Morton and always will be
  13. is this seriously a thread?
  14. troy broadbridge
  15. Thats a bit rough non jurrah i think, i thought it was Robertson who wanted to hand the number to him, and if you get a great of the club wanting to give you a number, you dont decline. Besides, if your worried about what number he will be remembered for, think Stynes, (no. 11) not no. 37 who cares
  16. i can't drink at work, but thanks for rubbing it in
  17. I would go to casey in a heartbeat to watch the redlegs. But don't think we will beat freo at freo
  18. I think also, that you have to be positive at this time of the year, weather you are premiership contenders or most likely wooden spooners, if you go out to play with the mindset that you're only going to win a few games, then you probably will. But realistically i am with you, stoked for 10th, and jizz in my pants if we make the 8
  19. yeah i think Tapscott will be the best of the recruits this year. Having watched some of his highlight reels, he looks like a steal at 18. Also i was Frawley's biggest critic when he first started, and now he has changed my mind, turning into a good defender
  20. shouldn't be a leadership group, should just be captain. but if i had to pick, Davey, Moloney, Green, Warnock, Sylvia
  21. as long as juice doesn't get a game in the firsts, i dont really mind
  22. t-bone? like the steak?
  23. Excuse this if you have covered it, because to be honest i skimmed your post (no offense), but there is a huge difference between the NBA draft and the AFL draft. and there are a few reasons why. Firstly, a basketball team only has 5 players on the court at any given time, and a min roster of 12. so if you pick up lebron james or andre igoudala he makes a MASSIVE difference. Secondly, the NBA draft is a lottery draft, im not quite sure of the maths, but i think it is the bottom 5 teams, all have a certain chance of getting the no1. draft depending on which position they finished, with last being the favourite to get it. So if the bucks finish bottom the don't necessarily get the no.1 pick. Also, why the bucks? im a long time Celtic fan, and was following them before Garnett and Allen came along, and they had seen some long summers too. I think it is all about staying true to your club, or team, and supporting them, because it is at times like these that they need the support to get numbers to the games, to sell tickets and merchandise. It is times like these where you find out who the true supporters are.
  24. maybe you guys should kiss, i love it when 2 chicks make out
