  1. I’d consider bringing in TMac for Brayshaw and letting him have a crack at the wing role, Richo style. He’s one of our best endurance athletes and would provide a good marking option roaming all over the ground. Also gives the team some flexibility like a rich man’s Tomlinson. Brayshaw would be unlucky though as he improved through the game. I’ve got no idea what will actually happen but the selectors have their mojo back the last couple of weeks so I’ll back them in.
  2. Petracca Gawn Oliver Langdon Viney Weid
  3. Does Vanders ever hit a target?
  4. Need him to do a job in Sicily next week. Wouldn’t be the first time.
  5. I went down to training a couple of times in the pre season - seems like years ago now - but he was surprisingly quick in the sprint work. I’ve never thought he was ready but he looks primed to become a key pillar in our defence now. Has the physical attributes to hold a big forward and is a calm user of the footy. I think our backline looks much more stable defensively with the three talls, especially as Lever doesn’t play as a genuine key back.
  6. Pretty sure he struck Rankine with a swinging arm. Pretty iffy but suspect the umpire called it as a strike
  7. This is like a teenager picking on the primary school kid. Collingwood or Hawks supporters would [censored] their pants laughing if they saw this. Let’s become relevant first...
  8. 6. Gawn 5. Viney 4. Trac 3. Oliver 2. Hannan 1. Langdon
  9. Be careful of average stats Nev, after Carlton, Jayden Hunt led (or almost led ?) the AFL for average goals at 3.0 per game.
  10. On today’s performance, I’d rather have Harmes in the contest than Oliver. In fact, we played our beat footy in late 18 once Harmes was swung into the guys. having said that, I’ll back Clarry to come good. Not sure about 17 or 18 others though.
  11. Footy is dead to me for 2020. MFC can’t select the right side. Can’t dispose of the footy. Terrible coaching. Low scoring. We’ve had 2 years to correct this rubbish disposal. Only thing that would save the year for me is a new coach.
  12. Thought the umps were fine. If Fritsch could take a chest mark and Kozzie could convert a soda we’d be about level. Cats just took their very few chances. We didn’t.
  13. Hibberd has been turning it over for a few years now. He’s done. And Spargo is no good. Plenty of mates today however.

Important player when fit but (sadly) surely this will be his last year. He's 28 and never on the park. Can't keep holding a spot for a bloke who literally never plays.
  15. Hannan was also walking laps with Greg Stafford. He looked in good spirits.
  16. I was there early and he was walking laps. Didn’t see him doing anything else before I had to leave.
  17. Nev Jetta is still hanging around.
  18. That highlights package is about as good as you could hope for from a young ruck. No idea if he’ll be any good but that’s certainly whet the appetite a bit.
  19. I think his 2018 season is overrated on Demonland. His best game by far was his debut and he has been positively mediocre since with a couple of ok games thrown in every once in a while. No real evidence of second year blues for mine, 2019 is about par. Just a fair way off AFL standard at this stage.
  20. Lyon hasn’t made a finals series since 2015. Goodwin improved has had one down year from three amongst a bunch of mitigating circumstances. He may well be the wrong guy to lead our club but the situations are vastly different.
  21. I like Frost. I’ll take the brain fade (or two) each week for what he actually adds to the side. When we get some continuity from May and Lever, he adds enormous flexibility and some real rebound from our defense. Frost’s mistakes look so much worse because the team is performing so poorly collectively. Fritsch forward is a no-brainer now that we have half a backline again. Hopefully he stays up there with TMac and Weid.
  22. Didn’t they beet Geelong last week?
  23. Um, if you’d paused time after the semi last year, that describes us.
