  1. I prefer option 2 or 3. I think we might need OMac back in to play on one of the 200+cm forwards anyway which would mean we move Tomlinson onto the wing or into the ruck. Preuss would usually be run ragged by Grundy but with the Pies backing up after successive 4, 5 and 4 day breaks, and all relatively close games, now may be the time to play him. Hopefully TMac’s effort last week gives him a bit more confidence going into this week. He’s still nowhere near his best but we will need him firing if we’re going to make a run.
  2. Who will the ins be for Collingwood on Saturday? They have been poor tonight, big chance for us to notch another confidence building win on Saturday.
  3. Spargo has been good. Not usually a fan but credit where it’s due.
  4. Two games in a row from Vanders. Stupid footballer. Needs to go.
  5. Even in 2018 Spargo only hit the scoreboard in 9 of his 18 games and averaged less than 1 goal assist per game. He has had a handful of good games in three years and has gone backwards. I hope he plays a ripper and proves me wrong, but is squarely in the delist category for me at this stage. I’m going to back Jackson I’m against Goldy though. IMO that’s the right call. He is improving and was recruited as a ruck and will offer more than Preuss other than in the taps. He should first ruck most of the game with TMac and Weid predominantly forward. No idea who should second ruck though. Probably TMac for team balance and he has the tank to do it around the ground.
  6. Pretty uninspiring changes. I consider 4 of the 5 a downgrade, a couple of huge ones as well. Oh selection last week has caused an issue this week. Presumably Jackson plays first ruck which might impact our forward line chemistry as well. the decision not to rest Max on Wednesday was a shocker.
  7. On the plus side, ANB was putrid anyway so forces Goodwin's hand.
  8. Lever needs to go the mark there
  9. A few little umpiring decisions going our way last 2 mins
  10. Honestly, is there a team with more dumb footballers in the AFL? Unforgivable by Vanders. A goal after the siren would have given us a ton of momentum despite looking rubbish.
  11. Thank god for Viney so far
  12. Max yet to get a hitout
  13. Dwayne, Derm and Ricciuto... not one for the intellectuals tonight.
  14. Wines is exactly the type of player we don’t need. We have half a dozen of his type. And a month ago he was in a rut, just like Clarry is now. Clarry’s disposal has been terrible but it’s not a career problem, I suspect it’s mental. A bit of confidence and we’ll see him back to his best. And as a side note, what we recruited Toumpas to be is exactly the type of player we still need. Someone to play on the opposite wing to Langdon and perform consistently. We botched the pick on the wrong player but hindsight is 20:20.
  15. I reckon we could do worse than getting Witherden to slot in at half back and moving Salem to the wing.
  16. Our next 3 games are all against sides on a 4-day break (including the North game where we are the same but we don’t have to travel and they do). This is a huge chance for us to get back into a positive ledger including with a win against a battling Collingwood side that at the start of the year we would have pencilled in as a loss. One week at a time for sure, but the season is well and truly alive for now.
  17. Just hard to watch. Numbing stuff, that. There are a lot of players who looked way out of their depth. Hannan back to his 2 games on, 4 games unsighted formline. Jackson and Weid both struggled to get near it. At least Weid kicked a couple I guess. Brayshaw and Harmes are a mile off their 2018 selves and on form, neither deserve to be in the side. Both being played out of position and both killing us with their disposal. TMac and Jones are both washed up. Kossie buzzes around and I think will be a player but lacks discipline both with and without the ball. But not sure who I’d be excited to bring back in either... Bennell and Tomlinson are at least up to the level. Vandenberg, ANB, Spargo etc are all seriously flawed players too. At least Vanders would give us intensity though. Selection this week will be a lottery. Pleased to have a Friday to recover so that crap doesn’t ruin my weekend.
  18. Putrid doesn’t feel like a negative enough word to describe this performance. Any suggestions?
  19. Putrid lack of effort from OMac there
