Farewell Jesse Hogan
In the same way we were left exposed when Lever went down, who comes in as key forward if we trade Hogan and one of Weid or TMac go down? Trading Hogan still feels ridiculous to me.

Must address in pre-season
My view is quite different. I donāt think that pace is the reason we lose games, albeit we have less leg speed than teams like the pies and WCE. The games where we have been exposed this year we have been smashed in the contest and no amount of leg speed was ever going to remedy that. Opposition sides talk about how quickly we move the ball when we are winning, much like the Geelong sides of mid 2000s who didnāt have much in the way of genuine pace but moved the ball like lightning. In my opinion, out biggest deficiency, and the difference between our side and those Geelong sides, is skill and composure. We need to generate so many more opportunities than our opposition because we are less efficient with the ball. Top of my wish list would be players that fit our ātypeā but who can hit targets and make good decisions most of the time. Salem is one who is combative and classy but there arenāt too many of those on our list.

GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles
Is Lewis worst on ground?

GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles
Classic MFCSS by me but only Melbourne could make a prelim and dish up this sort of embarrassment.

Andrew Gaff
ProDeeās explanation sounds plausible to me and the source is credible. Canāt see Gaff coming. As an aside, itās funny how so many assume that players interested in success must be coming to the Dees and players going anywhere else must be mercenary. A lot of posters in this thread are showing a hint of the āTex Walkersā.

Melbourne will beat WC (The Roar)
Should be a really interesting game. We need to win the midfield well, like last time. If we do that, we should win. If the midfield battle is even, things could get uncomfortable.

GF Ballot Barcode
Could not agree more. We all want to go if we make it.

Demon Brownlow Invitees
I suspect captains and past winners get an automatic gong. Geelong has two winners and Richmond one which seems to be a possible explanation why they have seven and six respectively?

I definitely don't think our FD are the type that go publicly stating our intentions or our targets, on that we agree. I'm just not prepared to draw inferences from the silence. I hope we land Gaff or someone equally exciting.

Funny, I'd call that the definition of a long bow! ?

Finals Week 2 - Non MFC Game
Is it just me or is the umpiring in this game disgracefully one sided?

Would we take $cully back?
There have been plenty of blokes come to play for us that I hated while at other clubs. As long as they help us win, I'm on board. Agree about the cultural impact. Although what exactly that impact might be is pure speculation. Anyway, GWS won't let him go so moot point.

Dees shutdown star eyes biggest scalp yet.
I could also see Vandenberg doing a job on Sicily. Will be interesting to see how they line up.

Finals Tickets
Iām coming to this late L36 but I queued up at 3.45 last week and was seated by about 5.05 undercover in M45 - ripping spot. If you head off at 2.30 you should be fine.

22 Over 30
Who cares? Less than half of that team are playing finals. Lewis is. Thatās (finally) the important thing.

Could have made a case for TMac given Gunston made the squad.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 22
I put my hand up as doubting we would get it done this year. Frustrated by the ability to take chances and inability to convert. Well done Demons, this is a massive moment! Whether this year or next, our time is coming. well done @Wiseblood for continuing to stay positive. Hope you feel vindicated and enjoy the lead up to September!

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 22
I think the three known changes will be it. I get all the disappointment with Garlett but I think he makes our forward line look a lot more dangerous. He reads the ball off a pack better than almost anyone in our side and only needs a couple of opportunities to hit the scoreboard. Disappointed in the selections again overall though. The listed half forward line is utter poo. Would go close to the worst line weāve listed in any week all year.
