There have been plenty of blokes come to play for us that I hated while at other clubs. As long as they help us win, I'm on board. Agree about the cultural impact. Although what exactly that impact might be is pure speculation. Anyway, GWS won't let him go so moot point.

I could also see Vandenberg doing a job on Sicily. Will be interesting to see how they line up.

I’m coming to this late L36 but I queued up at 3.45 last week and was seated by about 5.05 undercover in M45 - ripping spot. If you head off at 2.30 you should be fine.

I put my hand up as doubting we would get it done this year. Frustrated by the ability to take chances and inability to convert. Well done Demons, this is a massive moment! I think the three known changes will be it. I get all the disappointment with Garlett but I think he makes our forward line look a lot more dangerous. He reads the ball off a pack better than almost anyone in our side and only needs a couple of opportunities to hit the scoreboard. Disappointed in the selections again overall though. The listed half forward line is utter poo. Would go close to the worst line we’ve listed in any week all year.

That misses the point. We keep losing these games because we lack composure and smarts, especially in the big moments. You can only say “we were the better team and lost” so many times before you realise that the mental ingredient we miss is actually the most important one. It’s the difference between losses and wins. I was desperately hoping that today would see the team break the shackles because all the other ingredients are there, but alas, we continue to wait for the breakthrough.

I felt like a traitor tipping Sydney. Clearly it was just smart. We don’t have the composure to match really good sides who apply immense pressure. The game could’ve been over at 1/4 time if we had more composure. Trying to channel my inner wiseblood but feel like this game is our pivot. Win and we’re right in the hunt, lose and the pressure gets worse. We’ve been so poor under pressure I can’t see this year ending any different than last year.

TMac’s kicking has been off for weeks now. Needs to find his range ASAP. We’re having shots in gettable spots, should be 4 goals up.

Smith and Spargo both out of their depth at this level for now. Has to be better options for both.
