  1. Lever would be automatic first 18
  2. Recruit of the year and probably doesn't need to tackle as much because he either spoils it or gets it himself.
  3. Thrives playing on the big stage
  4. Hibberd is a gun , and will be a permanent member of this side bar injury
  5. I didn't realize Lever was key position
  6. Petracca will be a superstar of the highest order, where as McCartin might develop into a very good player.
  7. If we use this years second rounder, that means we are out of the first and second rounds, which hurts our chances of picking a decent player that we may have had our eye on, who could be that Forward/Ruck type we have been after.
  8. Perhaps our strategy is to get really good support players and develop our own stars
  9. Imagine when he is fit enough to spend more time in the middle along with Petracca , Brayshaw and Viney? Stop dreaming, the premiership could be a reality in a two to four years time.
  10. Only a select few impressed me this much this early.......Flower, Schwarz,Jakovich,Farmer, and Hogan. I reckon this kid will be a star.
  11. Haven't seen Petracca on the park yet, but this blokes the most exciting player I've seen pull on a Dees jumper since I first saw Hogan.
  12. Every chance to be this years smokey and play more games than expected as Brayshaw did last year.
  13. I doubt whether he would play Full forward or Centre half forward to begin with. The Roos way is to play the kids on the flanks and pockets to ease them in. If his pre season or Casey form is very good he will probably get a few games as third tall.
  14. He has an awesome pair of hands and seems pretty clever too, perfect foil for Hoan.
  15. Why would Parish slag off Essendon and say Melbourne were really nice? Maybe we told him we are going to take him?
  16. I still feel we will pick up Parish over Oliver though as he is more of what we need, and has a longer more consistent body of work.
  17. I still think Parish suits our needs more, with his pace and zip. Oliver although tough looks a little slowish to me. I think we have enough of the grunt types with Viney, Petracca,Vandenberg,Brayshaw and Jones
  18. He looks like an Altar boy, so the name Parish is very apt.
  19. He reminds me of a Sammy Mitchell but quicker
  20. One thing I'll say about our recruiting strategy with the first two picks ,is that we pick the ones most likely to succeed rather than recruit on a hunch or a "could develop into something " ,as I don't believe we can afford to take a gamble. Save that for the later picks.
  21. Actually reminds me a helluva lot like Jordie Mckenzie in the way he moves.
  22. Ha ha this is a beauty, he happens to be the boyfriend of one of my daughter's best mates. Seen him play basketball quite a few times and he has won best a couple of best and fairest with one of our local footy clubs. He is lightning quick for his size and has a huge leap on him, top kid too.
  23. We have a lot of one paced mids, but we don't have many with a bit of zip and pace around the packs. We got Melksham to be a runner off half back and Kennedy to add a bit of Brent Harvey like pace around the stoppages, and Parish just gives us another of that type. It's all about balance and options, as well as pressure for spots. We seem to have the grunt in Jones, Viney, Vandenberg etc, big bodied power in Brayshaw and Petracca, Skill with Salem and Vince, but we need pace and run.
