Freo are good enough to beat the Bulldogs

Believe it or not we can still make finals if Bulldogs and GWS lose their last two and we win . Mostly out of our control, and improbable, but if they can somehow find some heart, there may still be a chance to redeem themselves. Not that I’m holding out any hope or anything.

The only positive from the last two weeks

If we miss finals next year Goodwin will be sacked 100%. We need a smart and crafty coach if this happens as Goodwin has been outcoached times and again on game day . Not an untried rookie , it has to be someone like Clarkson or Lyon

We need to change the game plan. Goodwins idea of win the contested ball and that will hold up in any game or final is now proven incorrect. A team of smarts and skill, that plays like a unit with composed ball movement, especially on the outside will always win.

Serong looks the better player so far . Reminds me of Robbie Gray Pickett looks exciting but never actually does anything and is as fumbly as hell.

I don’t think anyone can be judged in one game in pouring rain.

We picked a team of runners and it poured rain . Picked Preuss as well but hard to Mark in the wet. As bad as we are it’s rotten luck.

Yes, our game plan doesn’t stack up and yes we only have a handful of decent players. But we we were pretty unlucky to play in those horrid conditions two weeks in a row.

Just really really poor skills, not teaming well at all. We look like a club under pressure and lacking confidence and have actually gone backwards. Is it coaching or the players? It looks like the players lacking composure to me.

We just play dumb footy and make silly decisions under any sort of pressure at all. 34% kicking efficiency

All we are doing is going for distance with our kicks, there’s no pin point passes or run and carry. Freo are piling on the pressure and we are playing right into their hands.

I doubt they would make a selection decision that far out from a game. Id say it would have to have been conditional on Bennells fitness and form

Even this late in the season we are still looking for the right mix.

I love most of the ins, but dropping Brown who has been our best marking target the last 2 weeks is a bit strange. I think they picked Preuss to reall try and stretch the Oppo by having he and Gawn rotate deep.

I don’t think getting a Hodge in will do that much.. This playing group need to grow a pair, and have to take destiny into their own hands. They must build their own culture/legacy. It really should be lead by guys like May, Lever, Gawn , Brayshaw, Viney, Melksham, Langdon, Salem and Petracca.
