It's highly likely that in a year or two...Gawn could be our number one ruck with Martin as support... Whe does that leave Jamar who just signed for 3 years?

Surely a stef Martin would do better at least in the marking around the ground and kicking goals. The problem we are having is poor form from key players, like Jamar, Moloney,Trengove etc.. Others such as Jones, Grimes ,Watts,Howe,Clark are trying their guts out. Why wouldn't you give the out of form blokes a spell in the twos?

Russian didn't take one grab on the weekend. Doing well in thehitouts but very ordinary around the ground this year.

Excellent...His new role on the half forward flank could be the go...can receive the ball and head straight for goal or set up a better option..ala Chapman. Could cause a bit of extra havoc up there with his mate Col Sylvia.

Grimes is a natural centre man because he doesnt let the Ball get past him, and he has a very competitive streak. Being Captian...its exactly where we need him. Watts can and will play anywhere ala Jame Hird Garland may just stay a forward he is a great reader of the play, has long arms ,so hard to punch away from, and would cause the opposition match up headaches, but he will probably go back to defense every now and then, especially if Jurrah and Petterd come good, and a match up is needed.

Still think boak is the better option...Sewell is another slowish mid...Dalsanto wont leave saints. Wouldnt mind Sam Mitchell though.

He is a very tough and proud competitor. Love both Cols up forward, and would even love to try Tommy Mac up there when Chipp comes back, then we would be really hard to match up on...he has a huge tank and I believe he is a future centre half forward.

Always thought he was a natural centreman. And please keep Col up forward.

Boys said afterwards the 2 key words before this game were Intent and Courage. That and the key moves of Grimes in the middle and Garland up forward. My 11 year old son said i nearly cried i was so happy dad.......stick with em son!

I'd probably give grimes role to trengove, he is a good mark and can rebound for us...also help him get into the game more. Morton as the other half back sweeper and McKenzie tagging the small forward. Even Bartram in the middle with Gromes and jones might go ok. Blease and Bail as the runners who spread just outside the packs and Moloney and Sylvia wider to kick it forward.

Fitness and our midfield are the problem. Sylvia, Trenners and Beamer are badly out of form. These boys would normally be our top 3 midfielders. We only really have one in form and thats Jones Mckenzies a tagger and Magner a little slow Nowonder we are getting smashed at stoppagess. Blease's pace stood out like the proverbial dogs b...s in a slow team We need to change it up in the middle....Id try Grimes, and maybe a bail or a blease in there with Jones. Maybe put Moloney and Sylvia on the wings as go to players who can kick long. Magner forward pocket, mckenzie back pocket, where the likes of Milne and Betts kill us every time.

Don't worry about Cloke...we should be throwing everything at Boak.

Its the only reason i can think his form is so bad...got burned off by Brock Mclean at one stage.
