  1. The price of fish in china
  2. He has had more Kicks Marks and goals than Natanui and Hurley. He is a better player than Tom Hawkins and Goddard were at his age. He can play midfield and key position in a similar vein to James Hird. Im still banking on him to be our no.1 player in a couple of years...just in time for us to flourish. and you wait till a fella named Jordie Gysberts comes on...still very young, great pair of hands, along with Viney will be in our top 2 midfielders.
  3. We need a quick skillfull midfielder in the mould of Marc Murphy...Jones, magner, Maloney,Mckenzie..all too similar. Boy do they how to jump on the ball, but zero finesse or pace. This is the type of player we are desperate for.
  4. Out. Dunn Bartram McDonald Macdonald Tapscott In . Petterd Couch Davis Grimes Fitzpatrick
  5. We had our best passage of play in the 3rd quarter that lasted 15 minutes or so where our intensity was the highest its been all year. Its like they werent thinking game plan too much just willing themselves to win every contest. But that dropped off in the last and although we were still competitive , we lacked the edge we had in the 3rd. Coach still finding out about his players. We really need Grimes,Pettard, Sylvia, Jurrah, Gysberts, coz we lack that class, and these 5 are in our best 22. Also we need either of Blease or Bennel to come on, because we lack speed. Even Troy Davis i would play ahead of Macdonald. Tapscott and Tom Mc Donald need to find form in the twos. Bartram is a big worry for me, got killed by Dahlhaus, and to me has been our weakest link, as its always his man that is the most damaging . But overall i wasnt as gutted as previous weeks.
  6. For me it all depends if Moloney and Couch are selected. If so we are a chance.
  7. Would rather Valenti than Brock anyday of the week. Except tuesday.
  8. We haven't stooped that low yet have we?
  9. Hit the nail on the head there. Of course we all love the Dees ...they are family to us, and yes we are grieving....we are all just venting our frustration and sharing it with each other....all the while hoping it will start to improve......so this whole sad depressing thing can convert to a bit of Joy for once.
  10. With all the good work the club has done over the past couple of years rebuilding. and saving the club, thanks to Jim. My biggest fear is we are now going backwards again. This is mainly due to how the team is performing. At some stage you do have to have on field success,or the club will never be a success, or respected. Now had we had some encouraging performances, 40,000 members could have still been a reality. Now it is a dream so far off its not funny. Not one genuine superstar footballer at the club, getting our pants pulled down every week. When will it end? My son and i walking away depressed game after game after game....come on! This is truly hell for footy lovers. Been waiting an awful long time. What makes this coaching regime different to the last, or the one before that?
  11. My 11 year old son is scared to wear his melboune jumper to school on footy day because the other kids laugh at him
  12. Bartrams game on Nahas was terrible...he plays way too loose
  13. We have the worst midfield inthe comp bar none. Its in the centre square thats the problem. Our forward line and back line arent too bad. If we can drop Green for form...then we should drop Grimes, Trengove and Tapscott too this week.
  14. How's Eddies succession plan going? If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it.
  15. Cant remember if he played or not but thats when it happened
  16. Yes there was a culture problem at the club, but its in the process of being fixed, with Neelds hard line attitude. I was told by a source close to the club that the problems came to a head when the club knew Scully wouldnt commit to the club, and asked Bailey not to play him. Bailey refused and this caused all sorts of divisions in the club with senior players led by Green forced to take sides. The week this happened we played Geelong and the rest is history
  17. Im a 30 year consecutive member, and for the first time i have lost the urge to go to the football. I have no interest in going next week for fear of being completely depressed again
  18. Im starting to believe in it......no joke.
  19. 1. Sacking Junior. ( Only real leader we have had since Neita) 2. Not recruiting Nic Nat. ( We are in desperate need of a superstar) 3. Picking Scully instead of Martin.( probably couldnt have foreseen this one) 4. Not convincing G.Lyon to coach us. ( The only one that couldve made something of us) I reckon we would be a completely different team had these 4 factors worked out differently. Do you think we would be getting smashed in the clearances if we had Nic Nat in the Ruck, Junior still as Captain , alongside Dustin Martin ? and Gazza inspiring them every week? Funny how only a handful of decisions, made by the club or key people like Scully and Lyon, can dramatically change the future of a club.
  20. Morton is better than half the blokes we have in there at the moment. At least he has a bit of run and good disposal.
  21. But after all the running we did in the preseason???
  22. R.I.P. M.F.C. I'D LIKE TO APOLIGISE TO MY KIDS FOR DRAGGING THEM INTO THIS AWFUL MESS OF A CLUB.
  23. After all that preseason running we did???
  24. Out Bennell,Mckenzie.Mcdonald. Bartram,Sellar,Green,Bail, Dunn. In Couch, Nicholson,Blease,Moloney,Davis,Tynan,Tapscott,Morton. also..Sack Royal , bring in Lovett or Viney.
  25. Because our coach doesnt have a clue. Bate was one of our best preseason performers along with Nicholson and Couch, yet none are starting...why??
