JKH was sublime , i really thought he would get it this round.

It was unlucky Georgiou was behind Lynch....Viney couldnt have foreseen that. I know however that if someone is injured head high in a bump they dont like it.

Blease hasnt done enough at VFL level, and Matt Jones still got 21 touches, so he desrves to stay. Id just bring in toumpas or Clisby for Byrnes,and Garland for whoever is not 100% out of Frawley and Georgiou. If they are both not right then bring in Gawn too.

I see him as a Jobe Watson type, big bodied midfielder with great hands and footy smarts. Im so rapt we have finally found a few in Tyson , JKH and Salem to compliment Viney Jones Vince and cross.

If the reserves coach doesnt support the game plan he should be sacked immediatley

One really good thing is its getting harder to find players to drop. Guys like Jetta and Pederson have stepped up,and guys like JKH and Salem have come in holding their spots. Jamar and Dawes have been huge for us too. Toumpas when fit would have to give us that bit extra, but id love to Riley or Clisby a run.

JKH is so much more than the small forward i was expecting he is a genuine, very clever midfielder. You can really see the midfield taking shape this year , as well as Vince and Cross, just take a look at the exciting crop of young blokes who unlike previous years are looking very exciting. Viney, Tyson,JKH,Salem,Toumpas......all just kids but these guys will drag us out of the mire.

Jamar s mark was huge in the context of the game, and his presence in general was really important. How handy will he be if he gets back to his all Australian form?

JKH's timing was exquisite. He timed his as third man in at the contest sublimely.

He understands that, he is a smart kid,all im saying us being a Dees supporter is Joyless,and the kids probably feel it the most,as they get stirred at school,and arent really given a chance to fall in love with the game or the team because they associate it with pain. Having said that we both still have hope...we have to, its all weve got.......otherwise we would not call ourselves Demon supporters.

We another out and out gun midfielder like Dan Hanneberry ......should have plenty of cash to spend with Clarks retirement. If not him then someone of his ilk. Of course we also need another tall forward, id love Walker or Patton....but might just have to take the best young tall key position forward in the draft. More speed would also be handy so we need to scour the country for a couple of good speedy mids with good tanks.

What we really should be doing is changing the forum name from Demonland to Wattsland

He was also in our best against st kilda, was good against richmond in the preseason and good in the carlton game, so he has been far from our worse player this year. I think howe has been more disappointing, but we focus on watts because he is Watts. He didnt choose himself to be number one pick.

Not only is he skilled , but has that hardness too. Could be the complete package.

I think the team has improved 20 to 30% on last year, there is more effort , better recruits and more structure. We have a good coaching group, and a game plan to work on. Had some bad luck with Trenners and key talls going down which hasnt helped at all, but also some like Watts and Howe are yet to lift and play the way they are needed to by their coach.

Ive always been a huge Watts supporter, but even i have to admit he is running out of time .

I think we just need to put watts and Howe on forward flanks and hope they snaffle a few snags with their skill. Bring in clisby for some more run and Garland to help out down back and we will be a better side. Onece toumpas and Kent are right they should slot in too and give us some more skill and firepower.

Tell a twelve year old we are improving, but still losing. I said to my son last week, you can see the improvement son, and he said i dont care i just want to win. I dont blame him he has seen one bloody win in three years of going to the footy, poor kid. Needless to say he isnt coming with me tonite because he is scared we will lose, like he is some sort of jinx. The team i love is making the son i love miserable...conundrum. This is how kids see it, win or lose, black or white.
