On Robbo not rating Jones - many in football circles don't. He plays like his life depends on it and I love that and you pretty much know what you will get from him week in and week out - but many on here suggest he is elite - Pendlebury is elite and Jones is no Pendlebury. Selwood is no Pendlebury either ......especially skills wise, yet he is elite. You dont have to be Elite in all areas to be Elite. Some have Elite skills, others are great marks and goal kickers, and some are ball magnets,who have heaps of courage. To be able to find the ball so often week after week is what makes a champ, and Jones is one , and getting better. Will go down as a legend of this club...with two and possibly three best and fairests to his name.

If he keeps going like this he will be. It seems the media have finally started to wake up to Jonesy

Finally took a few important marks on the weekend, i like his agression and second efforts, just needs to believe in himself more but that will come. Id like to see him take some match saving marks down back or even in the foward line and try kick a snag or two. Without a true second ruckman its hard to be everywhere though,and i applaud his efforts so far.

We now have a number of "swingmen" who can go forward or back. Dunn,Howe,Watts,Pederson,Frawley. Will be very handy when things arent quite working.

Took some good marks and kicked a couple of goals also.....bruise free, i dont think so, a solid contibutor is how id rate his game.

So rapt in the boys.....feelin happy ....on Cloud 9 actually.

They will probably plonk dawes deep and have frawley and dunn on half forward working towards the wing to give the midfielders amd backs something to kick to. Hopefully have JKH play a full game at Dawesys feet. Howe ,Georgiou , Mcdonald , and pederson will work well down back, especially without waite. Cross amd Mckenzie to tag and frustrate the bejesus out of murphy and either robinson or gibbs.

Jordie in is interesting, he may take Gibbs and Cross take Murphy. If these boys do a job on Carltons best two players we could be a chance.

I think we have a better young list , but they are more developed than us. In a year or two we will win this game, right now id say they are still ahead.

If he wants to why not? I still have the faintest glimmer of hope, that he still might come back to us in a years time if he gets things right.

Remember Schwartz went through three knee re constructions.......showed amazing resiliance.

Not spending the year hoping we finish last again thanks. Hope fully second half of the year we can win some games, and show some improvement. Its winning culture we need to develop.

If we can somehow get another two talls into the lineup, a bit of pace with Blease and Barry, and maybe Jordie to do one of his specials on Murphy, we could have some chance.

Roosy's missus has them meditating......seems to be working so far. Actually, why not hypnotise them into thinking they are Hawthorn?

It feels good to switch off from it. I was at my sons under thirteens footy game sunday, they won by eighty points and he kicked a goal and was named in the best players. Didnt even think of the game against GWS till we got home, and the result didnt worry us too much because we had a great day together. Much more enjoyable than AFL Gone are the days when i rely on the dees to provide any sort of happiness, if it comes eventually , then well and good , i will enjoy it.
