  1. Except Port are good
  2. Exactly they are a mid table team at best this year, this is slightly above the Essendon loss for our worst performance of the year. Our players pick and choose when they can be bothered, with the talent they have on the list it is infuriating that they are letting it go to waste. We should be dominating the competition but we are looking like also rans
  3. *Perfect tackle
  4. He has been bad for a while now
  5. Yes it has but has been a joke both ways
  6. Sad as it is we won our GF last week, that's our year. It might be over dramatic and I usually avoid these threads but this is a seriously disappointing effort.
  7. So is Garry Rohan but he's almost been the difference
  8. Terrible decision to flirt with form like that and shows the players form won't be rewarded
  9. It is unacceptable to lose this match tonight let's see what they have in them in the last 10 minutes
  10. They should be embarrassed getting shown up by a poor Geelong team minus Dangerfield and Cameron disgusting
  11. [censored] terrible Melbourne 🤮
  12. Van Rooyen 10 game player has played smart tapping the ball in front of packs with two hands to our advantage, senior players trying to play dry weather footy in poor conditions
  13. Too much stuffing around in wet conditions some of our players are seriously dumb not playing the percentages
  14. True but they dominated us first quarter for little result. It's a cold, wet night at a [censored] of a ground. It's a scrappy game, there will be little highlights tonight just a game to get the job done hopefully. I hate the scragging, you want to free the game up stop the scragging all over the ground. Trac was well within his rights to have a fit.
  15. Going back over old ground but the idea that tanking is bad is ridiculous in itself. The club would've been derelict in their duties not trying to do everything in their power to get the 1 and 2 picks in 2009 especially after being out-tanked by the Blues in 2007.
  16. The reason we were investigated was because Anderson was in charge while Demetriou was overseas. Notice Anderson didn't last too much longer after that. The AFL knows clubs tanked but don't want to admit it hence the investigations into Carlton went nowhere despite Libbas admissions (which he subsequently recanted - gee wonder why?)
  17. I'm pretty sure this is how things worked in the early days of the comp. Yes the pool was far smaller but the concept was the same. You'd have the likes of Collingwood, West Coast and Adelaide crying could about that now though.
  18. The crowd was very loud at times but at other times was eerily quiet for such a large crowd and that was down to our methodical play which took the wind out of the Pies supporters - they didn't have much to cheer about between the first ten minutes and the last 3 minutes.
  19. I think I mentioned earlier that Kozzie may have been playing a defensive forward role on Noble but watching the replay it seems it was actually on Murphy. Chandler/Spargo seemed to be matched up with Noble.
  20. That's only because he only had 1 year to run though. If he still had 3 years to run it may have been a different story and different attitude.
  21. St Kilda's home ground is Docklands and that's where they should play. Same as Essendon and Carlton (both who are looking to play extra home games at the G in coming years). When these clubs play extra home games at the G someone has to play home games at Docklands to make up the shortfall - it's why we still play a game in the NT because this game would be at Docklands if it were in Vic.
  22. While that could end up being good for us it is bad for the competition. One of the key pillars of equalisation is the draft and if this stuff keeps up I can see clubs agitating for greater "academy" recruitment and the draft is a best of the rest type deal. Easy fix is to lock in rookie contracts for 4 years, much harder to bluff clubs when you know you're there for at least 4 years. Clubs could also have 5th or 6th year options like they do in the NFL so players are effectively tied to the club they are drafted at until free agency.
