In a 17 game season you would alternate home and away each season. 1 trip per season for each club to WA, SA, NSW & QLD

17 rounds over 19 or 20 weeks so each team gets 2 byes wouldn't be much different to now.

Hopefully the Richmond supporters do rock up to ANZAC Eve next year - I've got a feeling the crowd was so big because it was their home game. A lot may not attend if it's their away game next year/we may not fill as much of our reserved seat areas.

I agree and I'd also reduce the number of players on the ground to somewhere between 14-16. The players have gotten exponentially fitter but the grounds haven't changed size in 150 years (give or take)

Lack of experience won't come into it. The only teams with experience are Cats and Swans. Once Melbourne gets on a roll in September we tend to ride the wave going back throughout our history and up til recent times.

They have an easy run, Geelong in Geelong the only real tough one. Port have an easy run too, only one more game away from Adelaide though they do have a showdown.

They've won two finals games since 1982, same as Fitzroy. Edit - also I'm fairly certain Melbourne and Richmond haven't played in the same finals series since 1940 when we defeated them for the premiership. This year should see that drought broken.
