How else would you get a seat?

Is iselect staying on as the back of jumper sponsor or was that a one year deal?
-
We should play off the stereotype, get Range Rover and Mt Buller or Auski as sponsors. May as well, at least we have an opportunity, not like Collingwood will get Centrelink as a sponsor or Richmond the Australian Dental Association.

Melbourne player investigated over alleged assault whilst overseas
Dr. Gonzo replied to Steno's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't know how anyone can do that work for a living - I've had to read some reports of things here and there in my line of work and even reading about what these guys deal with makes me sick. Respect to anyone who can do it full time. -

I've already talked to several people, some Melbourne supporters, who have decided who it "probably" is, never mind the fact the bloke is most likely innocent -

That's the thing, some players are gonna have their names tarnished because they were on that trip. Only 4 players in question and people are going to make assumptions. -

That's several steps down the road though. We don't even know what is alleged to have happened yet or what the players side of the story is. I agree with you if there is a proven incident of serious sexual assault but if it's an unfounded allegation the club won't do anything. -

Also known as the Dan Jackson/Dusty Martin conundrum. -
Kids have been spending plenty of time sitting on their arses getting good at video games for a couple of decades now, that hasn't changed. What baffles me is it is now a spectator sport ? And yeah my 4yo son likes watching YouTube vids of kids reviewing/building Lego sets. A lot of the time I just tell him it's not working but when he gets old enough to figure out I'm bullshitting him it's gonna be an issue haha

Thanks guys, I kind of thought that's what it was but thought it was just FIFA etc didn't realise it was stuff like COD too. I must be getting old cos it sounds really stupid to me but then people are making a killing online unwrapping toys so I guess I shouldn't be surprised

Anyone want to explain, in as simple terms as possible, what eSports are?

Who knows what the real facts are though? Maybe she hooked up with a footy player expecting to get a long term relationship out of it and he was only looking at a one night stand. I've heard of just as many psycho women as I have "alpha male" wankers. -
They've got the Maroochydore camp in Jan

"UP TO" 14 players.

I wouldn't like it either. Not that I would mope and get depressed about it but I'd probably start backchatting the meathead who was yelling at me and be seen as "undisciplined".

Cliff notes?

The deconditioning is the biggest one. Preseason is about tuning their bodies to the nth degree for the upcoming season, going through the camp and then having a 2 week (?) break seems counterproductive.

And the leader of the free world

Yeah I received a letter and proxy form too a few weeks back
-
I assume part of it is to spring it on the players so they cannot mentally prepare for it as well as they may have if they knew about it some weeks ago. Although posters on here had already commented it was happening again so maybe it was the timing that was the issue (ie just before their mandated Xmas break)?

We don't know the discussions that took place. Was the playing group told participation would be mandatory even for those recovering from injury/surgery (McDonald and Viney in particular)? We're their concerns dealt with by saying there will be doctors and specialists onsite to manage any injuries? Perhaps this wasn't enough for those who feared the risk outweighed the benefits and sought advice as to whether it was placing them at an unnecessary risk and what their obligations were to participate. Like it or not this IS a profession for them even if a profession unlike most others and the club DOES have OH&S obligations.
-
McDonald is the one that leapt to my thoughts and as you have pointed out coming off the ankle surgeries it would be idiotic to make him participate. So many of our important players are still trying to get their bodies right it is pretty stupid to put them through this just before Xmas. I don't really care about the ins and outs all I care about is getting the team cherry ripe for round 1. The rest is just noise.

My kids are a bit younger and got the "Little Devils" pack and they were stoked. They got a backpack, stickers, colouring book, fake tattoos and the creased Viney poster. They were wearing their backpacks and lanyards with stickers all up and down their arms last night

Other than this, what are you referring to? Don't get me wrong I understand those who feel a bit uneasy about this situation and may raise an eyebrow. I along with them will judge the players on outcomes not perceptions. It's those making judgements on the clubs 2018 prospects before Xmas 2017 that I think are acting hysterically.
