The window is well and truly closed and the curtains drawn. Nobody should be surprised or upset by this.

And out Brocky goes injured (again). His output so far for the Blues has probably been exactly what we would all have expected. Pick 11 was an absolute steal ladies and gentlemen.
-
At least she got Trengove's name right unlike bloody Luke Darcy, Rex Hunt and Eddie.
-
How impressive was Cale in that interview - he might have some talent as a boundary rider or presenter or something.
-
This is just getting bloody ridiculous now.
-
Grimes at Casey! Now I've heard everything.
-
I call Jamar "Doughnuts" as in jam(ar) doughnuts and because that's all he used to deliver. How times have changed.
-
As much as I'd love to see Grimesy moved into the middle he is absolutely outstanding down back. I'm just not sure it's worth messing with anything at this stage.

There's a thread on this article somewhere..... I think the writer has a fair a point but unfortunately we're not in the position of Hawthorn (50,000+ members) and need/needed to generate some excitement for the members. In hindsight it was probably a bad decision to play Watts last QB but at that stage the AFL were threatening to take that match away from us which would've cost us a @%#@load of cash. The decision was made to play him to try and generate some interest and lift the crowd enough to maintain that fixture. We've managed to keep the fixture and now we can rely on genuine excitement rather than hype, spin and potential.

I'm just going to scan my ticket on the day, no need for a reserved seat I wouldn't imagine.

Actually cancel my first post.... This is from the hearald sun.... "Brown was a shadow of his normal dominant self in the marking contests or around the goals and lowered his colours to the inexperienced Danny Frawley." http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/demons-smashing-lions/story-e6frf9jf-1225857819740 FFS.....are they serious! Who writes this [censored].

Not sure I'm talking premierships just yet but we are no longer considered easy beats. Some of our players will be looked at very closely and we need to be able to deal with this.
-
Our sneak up from behind them when they least expect it plan has been uncovered by our own stupid superiority. The football world will be looking at us in a big way now. How do we deal with this?

Took the day off work today and decided to head down to the Junction for a look. Pretty short, sharp session starting with in close handball drills then spacing out a bit more. Drill running it end to end then broke up into backs, mids, forwards doing individual drills. Players not currently in the team came out about 40 minutes after the main group started training. I'll admit I didn't really get super close to Wona but from a distance he still looked a little bit overweight and a long way from playing AFL. He has the propensity to put on weight if he eats too many geese and/or gets injured. Not expecting him to play for MFC for quite some time. A few things I noted: * Had a good look at Scully - he looks the goods this kid, surprised at how good his kicking is. He just looks really "sharp" and switched on to his work. * Davey looks fine to me so I'm not sure why people are saying otherwise. * Seems to be a really positive vibe about the place, a few jokes and friendly jibes at each other. * The two "get a game" or whatever it was called promo winners were there. Both seemed pretty excited. Didn't quite see the end as I didn't want to risk a parking fine. Looking forward to seeing where we're at on Saturday.

Watts ain't far away from what I saw at Casey and he is quality. He isn't ready to be our KPF but he will be useful in a few weeks. Chill out everyone and enjoy the win.

Don't mention Miller please. I'm not one for bagging players on the internet but our last two games we have actually looked like a football team. There is absolutely no reason to bring Miller back. Let's make that absolutely bloody clear right now.
-
It seemed like Jack's first three kicks were all terrible turnovers but he really worked into the game nicely after half time. I think Scully and Trengove's elite fitness levels will hold them in good stead in their first years. Both have huge running capacity as shown in their beep tests at draft camp and at the MFC. Not sure either deserve rising star noms just yet though, still plently of improvement as you would expect.

A bit of good cop bad cop going on there!
-
or wanted us to win for that matter!
-
You're right Carn Dees. Green until he retires then my man Jack. Agreed?
-
Bail surprised me today - best game I've seen him play but should've at least leveled the score at the end there. Green - leave him at full forward - that's where he plays best. Grimes - captain next year - best played off half back for now. Scully - disso with his kicking and decisions today Petterd - I think I was wrong with him - he can play, leave him up forward - strong through the hips and lower half in general. Bennell - like to see him up forward from now Jordie - very impressed again today
-
It's taken us 10 years to work out he's a full forward - NOW LEAVE HIM THERE FCS!
-
Pretty sure you're right - he's a rookie.
-
Had mine for about 6 months and it is fine. Why would you iron a t-shirt?
-
I can kind of see his point but we don't really have the luxury of having 55k members like the Hawks. We need to sell hope at this stage and the club is doing a very good job of it.
