I'd only go Clarkson or Malthouse. Malthouse isn't going anywhere at season's end, while suggestions for a rookie coach are dense. The thing is we'll beat Richmond, Gold Coast and Port. That'll be 10.5 wins for the season and an improvement on last season. We're tracking in a similar fashion to Carlton two years ago. The only difference being they were never being belted to the extent that we have been. I would have put money on Bailey being re-signed before yesterday. Now obviously our performance yesterday muddies this theory. You'd probably have to throw a mill at Clarkson at season's end otherwise extend Bailey's contract for the extra year and jump at Malthouse next year.

Wow, I haven't been on the board this week and only just caught up on the news regarding third-party deals. The last page I read was 27. Feck, I'm not going to read all that, so just thought I'd add my two cents, which I'm sure has increased the page numbers - what a [censored] joke! Keep getting games into Strauss. This is the perfect season to give him pressurised game time. With finals still a realistic chance, we can afford a few mistakes this year. In a few years we won't be able too. Makes perfect sense to me, while waiting until next year when there is a higher expectation makes absolutely no sense.

I think so, HT. Gysberts, Trengove, McKenzie, Moloney, Scully all seemed to lay numerous tackles just outside our forward 50 too (and indeed in our defensive 50). It shows you what great midfield pressure can do. There's a flow on to the rest of the team. The midfield obviously dictates so much of the play...

He looks all class when he isn't the prime forward target. I mean, he looks good either way, but the way LJ covers the ground when he bursts through the middle and hits a forward team mate on the chest is incredible to watch. I think he almost becomes a little predictable when Aussie or Flash play. They always look for him.

I must say - our game plan, zones and tactics seem to be catching slowly. Starting to think I was too hasty in my call for Bailey's head post West Coast loss. I did support until then, but that I thought was the final straw. It seems I was wrong. We certainly need to wait for the end of the year, but I believe we're on track.

I heard some boos. Didn't boo him myself, but did have a good old cheer at his expense a few times.

Great prospect this kid. Strong for his size and has only been caught twice this season. Breaks the lines and uses it well. Keep getting games into him.

I work in an office with 50 year olds now. I don't coach younger kids anymore, so I get what you mean.
