  1. Both favourites. [censored] amazing. Love them.
  2. He reminds me of Kenny Dalglish. Pity he can't come back and do what Kenny's done to Liverpool. One of those rare men deserved of the title of Legend.
  3. If the entire squad had the same desire as Jack did last night it would have been a much closer game. It was a good game from Jack. He must continue to put these efforts in. I'm not trying to insinuate he hasn't previously, but he tried to assert himself into some contests last night. I was reasonably happy with his game.
  4. I'm the same as well. A couple have fallen off the Bailey wagon tonight. I don't think anyone will be jumping on to fill it up too soon either. I can't see a turn around that will have me back on his side.
  5. Has Frawley got money on this game?
  6. Frawley is not interested. Drop him. We loose this and I get off the fence. Bailey has to go at season's end. I've supported him until now, but this is the last straw.
  7. Could it be that our coaching staff back us to beat a Collingwoodesque set up? We did break down their zones twice last year.
  8. He looks far better down back and comfortable in the ruck. Up forward he looks lost. Don't play him there until he can provide a contest every time. At least bring the ball to ground and don't allow an easy defensive clearances. As soon as he went back he looked like an AFL defender. In the ruck he showed deftness with his taps, as he has done in the first two games. He seems to have some confidence back which is helping.
  9. Just imagine who we'll beat if we play four quarters of football some day soon. We still haven't even played two quarters in a game yet. That's a positive and a negative for obvious reasons.
  10. I thought Jetta made some horrible, horrible errors that were fully deserving of his subbing. I like Jetta, but he's not blessed with superb skills, just persistence. I thought his clanger going back with one hand on half back in the third term was the turning point in the game. That and Petterd's selfish ill-converted snap in the third. I watched the first half again today on tv and admittedly Jetta was quite good in our better patches. But he really killed us in the third. I'd sit him out for a week or give him the sub spot. That said, I'd like to see Gysberts and Aussie back in this week. Jetta drops out for mine. Along with Maric.
  11. If you love your club you'll go irrespective of the time. I work Mon-Fri but I still turn up. It all sounds like excuses to me.
  12. Terry's finally starting to explore list management to build a premiership team...Richmond supporters'll ask why he didn't do that before he signed a five year deal with them. This bloke is a joke.
  13. Jamar's certainly increased the length on his kicks, but he used to only kick it about 35 to 40 metres. He's certainly not our longest, accurate kick. He has however become an accurate setshot from 30 to 40 out. There's no way he'll kick 80 to 100, but he could chip in with 20 to 30.
  14. Is it just me or does he move a bit like J Grimes?
  15. It's clearly Green. He's in the middle on the header on MFC.com.au. Bruce hasn't signed yet and Green's the perfect age to allow one of the emerging leaders to take over in a couple of years time.
  16. My only question on Hale comes with our own style of gameplay. We often win the ball across half back and having pushed up so high leave a paddock (similar to Pagan's old game style at the Kangas) for our forwards to run into, rather than leading up the ground. If Hale is perceivably slow, he's not the sort of player you'd want running back. Just a thought.
  17. All the wars we've lost in the recent years have actually turned out for the best. This might be another one.
  18. I disagree with the OP. I thought our offensive zone worked quite nicely 70 or 80% of the time. We seem to allow a short pass within our forward 50 and then look to close down all the space on the flanks and wings from there. It's a little bit St Kildaish in the making. We're getting there slowly. It's getting the ball out of our own defensive zone that we're not crash hot at. On Sunday Richmond's zone was weaker than previous teams, but Hawthorn's will be stronger. That will be a big test.
  19. It looked awesome to me. Admittedly I sat in the MCC, but at one stage during the last quarter, seeing and hearing all those MFC supporters turn around and singing towards them was awesome. Personally, I think we need more of that. All this anti-social texting [censored] is encouraging a lack of atmosphere. You need idiots and personally antagonism (as long as it doesn't lead to physical violence) is fine. It adds to the spectacle. You want to win even more and shove it in their faces.
  20. Bail's quickly becoming a favourite of mine. His gut running is fantastic to watch. He simply runs from flank to flank and wins possession. There was one moment during today's game where he burst through the pack, spun and hit Green (I think it was) on the chest. Great to watch. He certainly gets another game for mine.
  21. I thought JB did well on Hicks today. Hicks who is a hack, somehow did well against us early. JB did little up forward in the first quarter, so they threw him back on Hicks and he shut him down and provided some great run. As for Moloney, I don't think I'd give him a game, until someone falters. That said, I think it'd always be like for like. It'd have to be Jones for Moloney. Moloney's clearance work is better, but Jones is quicker and is a better kick. They're both hard nuts, but Jones is far more flexible than Moloney.
