  1. I agree, Jack. I think if we do approach GWS with pick 3, we'd want more than simply one player. Even for one of their young stars, we'd want a pick back (higher than 19) or a package deal. If Greene is involved, it's important to use those "problems" to leverage the best deal we can.
  2. I don't think Greene's market value is high enough, therefore I think we'd want a Shiel or Treloar plus Greene. He's certainly not worth pick 3 on his own. I'm not even sure Shiel is given the Judd trade.
  3. I found the first half of the film predictable, but the final act was gripping and head ache-inducing. Bond girl Rosamund Pike is amazing. Fincher's direction is amazing, as is the cinematography. Reznor's score is wonderful too. A very solid watch.
  4. If we could get Shiel and Greene for 3 and this pick 12, I'd jump at it. Or even Coniglio and Greene. Add Dangerfield with pick 2 and then you've got a midfield. Pace, hard edge and ball winning ability. As above, I think they're more likely to try and package a player like Greene with Shiel to get the deal over the line. We may not give up Shiel just for pick 3, but Greene's a high draft pick who hasn't really delivered on his potential, so I think packaging him with Trengove's pick 12 makes sense.
  5. Yeah, in theory, but that's not really how it works. I love his attack on the ball, but he's got to improve his disposal big time - hopefully with another year under his belt, he will. I wouldn't be expecting a great deal from Salem either, so it leaves you with five or six man midfield. Granted, Beams, Dangerfield and probably even Jones are A grade and with them around and natural improvement, you'd expect Tyson could set up to A grade too. Vince would be a better player and Cross would be too. If it all goes right, you probably make the 8. My concern then is where do the goals come from if we have any injuries in our forwardline?
  6. I agree and you're probably right about the lack of currency. IMO, he's an average to ordinary kick when coupled with his decision making. He also offers very little beside marking prowess, which is undoubted. I wouldn't say he's quick either. He's an upgrade on Grimes or Terlich, but that's not saying much.
  7. It gets you close. If they all stay injury free, it gets you very close.
  8. Agree, mate. I think they're better options than Howe, Terlich and/or Grimes off HB. Incidentally, I don't see there being a spot for Howe next year. It'll be interesting to see if they put him up for trade.
  9. Unfortunately, I see that too. It's a great pity, because he seems like a great guy and he was one of my favourites early on.
  10. No, I'll post them. If you disagree with them, that's fine. Your prerogative.
  11. So would I, but not for Greenwood. Ugh. He's had one good season. Overrated on here and I can't work out why.
  12. Wow, that was a late night post and slightly intoxicated. What I meant with Jones was that we'd be open to trading him if he won't re-sign. Roos has already flagged this.
  13. I'd say we're looking at trading a couple more guys with currency for picks. Watts, Howe, maybe even Toumpas? That way we can still take our regulation picks to the draft, go after Dangerfield as well Howe appears to me to exhibit scar tissue. He should have been floated last year, but he still has a little bit of trade value left. I'd be seeing what we can get for him. and clear some scar tissue from the list. And surely we'd have oodles of room in the cap to support Beams, Dangerfield and a 27 (nearly 28) year old Lumumba? That was always show. I just posted the guys who might have trade value, who I think we'd be open to trading. There's no way we'd trade Dunn, Salem or Tyson though. And I'd forgotten Grimes was a first rounder. Oh, and I'd blocked out the fact that Blease, Tapscott and Strauss were too.
  14. That makes absolutely no sense. Midfielders. We need midfielders. Don't get me wrong, I'd love Cameron, but midfield is priority one.
  15. What a mega deal. We'd be laughing. Couldn't dream of a better outcome. Shiel and Prestia next year. No, hang on. This is exactly what supporting a club means, BBO. You support the club. Not one player. The old adage: no one player is bigger than the club. I love Trenners, but if his trade nets us an A grader, we'd be [censored] not to do it.
  16. I'm wondering whether they might put Watts up for trade too. Talking of natural positions, I've been a defender of Jack for a long time, but you wouldn't say he's nailed a position. It's actually sounding kind of similar to the deal that got Judd to Carlton. In fact, better. I wonder if we proposed our first pick and our second round pick and Adelaide mulled over it, but eventually said give us a bit more. We then decided to put Trenners up for trade. Seems logical. You can never predict anything Roos and co are going to do, so who knows what they could be angling at. I could be completely wrong, but it's almost a certainty that Trenners will go if it will make a "big" trade work, otherwise I just can't see the value in it. Or he rates someone like Dangerfield higher...
  17. Now, it seems pretty clear he's a [censored] off the field, but what would people be willing to give up for Toby Greene? If we had a spare second rounder for him, I'd be willing to do the trade.
