  1. Yeah, but no one at our club is going to be stupid enough to offer him a contract to sign until the time is legal. No point. As long as he agrees to come across. This is the Druggies simply attempting to draw a line in the sand. I hope it backfires and a few more of their blokes go as a result.
  2. Obviously, it's not just the coaching, but isn't it fantastic to have a professional/competent coaching team that can get the best out of their players? Watts, along with Jetta, Viney, Tyson and a number of the young kids like Wagner, Hunt and even Gawn have come a long way under this FD. It's exciting to think what these guys could look like in another 1-2 years time, providing the coaching remains strong.
  3. I'm up here for the Film Festival, so my flights and 4 star accom have all been paid for. Happens to land on the same weekend, looking forward to Sunday's game. Winner.
  4. Taylor Swift's latest album also awesome. There's a chance that they actually just think it's good music. If you like 80's synthpop, that album and Bieber's are ballpark synthpop.
  5. That song is gold. Bieber is a [censored], but that track is electronic pop gold. Chvrches' cover is even better.
  6. I understand that, but consistent clearance winners are A grade in my book. Particularly when they're simply not up and under kicks like Bernie and Jones seem to do.
  7. Nice little FYEO Bond reference. Love it. One of the darker moments of Roger's career. Oh and Jack Watts derpy derp.
  8. What grade would you class Treloar? He's a better kick and decision maker than Treloar, IMO.
  9. I wonder how many Gunston would kick playing for Melbourne. FWIW, I thought Jack's start to Monday was very ordinary, but he worked himself into the game when we the game was over. He can play a lot better than he did against the Pies. What is pleasing though is his ability to get on the board in games that he's struggled in.
  10. It'll be interesting to see if some change their tune if we land Prestia.
  11. Completely disagree. He's 23, injury has interrupted his last campaign and he's finally getting a stretch of games again, while averaging 25 disposals a game, in a side that has played horrendous footy. He also possesses that explosive pace from stoppages that our midfield (aside from Viney) so sorely lacks. In 2013 he averaged 25 disposals. He then averaged 27 disposals in 2014 (the year I assume you're calling A grade). In his 8 games before injury last year, he also averaged 27 disposals. Since working back from his injury, it might take him a little time to get back to 27+. I really think you've misjudged this one, but each to their own.
  12. It's a rubbish statistic. DE is a flawed measurement of a player's efficiency, as there are too many factors that can slant it one way or the other.
  13. And you think 3 of those guys will win us a premiership? Prestia is an A grader. If you have a chance to get an A grader without selling the farm, you pull the trigger.
  14. He also kicked 3 or 4 against them a few years ago if my memory serves me correctly. It was one of his few bags of goals against a team. Or did I dream this? I certainly know what you mean about Carlton though.
  15. Not just any mids, but A graders. We won't get them all one off season, but that's the beauty of FA for a 'destination club'. And we are happily no longer viewed as a basketcase. We'll land some big fish in the next 2-3 years.
  16. Agreed. And no interest in Tayte Pears. It's Hurley or I'm happy to back in Frost and the McDonald's for the foreseeable future.
  17. Mind-boggling post. Wagner for Grimes? Are you serious? One is beautifully poised and hits targets the majority of the time under extreme pressure. Grimes can't hit the side of a barn under no pressure. And why bring in Matt Jones just for the sake for it? He's not best 22. He's a fringer. Wags is tracking perfectly. Love him.
  18. By signed, I mean agreed. The article at the start of the season said Prestia would make his decision half way through the year. Can't imagine he'd wait any longer. His club is sinking and ours is clearly on the rise.
  19. Their supporters might, but players won't. Reckon he signed with us recently. We shall see.
  20. Well, we're tracking as I predicted at the end of last year. 10-12 wins. If we can pinch one in the next fortnight, we'll go closer to 12.
  21. Don't think Jeffy did enough, but I'd have him in the side before Vanders I reckon. Is a very untidy footballer. Goes hard, but his inefficiency is costly at times.
