Should be in the middle or forward. Unfortunately we need some refined kicks out of halfback because we're desperate.

Actually thought we were quite good. Ultimately they were too slick around the stoppages and were much better going forward. Our zone needs major work but we kept at it and never folded. They are a very good side who touched up a mid-table side. Simple as that.

Not playing bad but playing right into them. Zone defense is something they are thriving on. They smash us around stoppages so we should try and run them into the ground. Sometimes too unselfish and over using the ball. Their defense is causing hesitation so we play on but have nowhere to go. Imo unleash the shackles and try to outrun them this quarter. Worth a shot Smashing us around the contested ball.

Defense getting toweled up again. They are dysfunctional. Work around the ground well and they are not going forward that often. But every time they do I cringe.

Of course, but nothing inspires victory more than victory itself I think it's pretty clear that after that loss it was a big shift and change in mentality internally.

The only game we absolutely should have lost -- as in, we were never really *there* to win -- was St Kilda. North and Essendon were both very winnable games. We could have easily been 6-1 at this point, and I suspect a more experienced outfit would have been. 4-3 is very good imo. Of the four games we *should* have won -- Pies, Tigers, Bombers, Suns -- we have won three. That is a three-game improvement on recent years when we would have dropped all of them.

Don't be so surprised, though. Been in the system a while and is a competent backup ruckman that does great ruck work. Just can't get around the ground or find the ball. He'd definitely get picked up.

It was a bad call. Goldstein interferes with the other ruckman at every single contest, and almost always makes head-high contact for close to zero calls against him. In that call, he was already off the ground, still made contact with the ball, and made a clear tap down to a teammate. Bad call at that point in the game.

Maybe he's...not even real.

And I am explaining why he is "boring". I interpret it as just being a straight arrow *in response to* his father.

Bit rough. Was raised by Gablett Snt, who we all know what he's like, and who is considered the greatest of all time. Not surprising that amidst his dad's drug and social issues that Jnr found God and buckled down a bit. I certainly see that his personality and demeanour has a lot to do with that, not wanting to turn into Ablett Snr 2.0. They're chalk and cheese. Ablett Snr didn't even know his teammate's names.

He's suffered quite a few niggling injuries.

Next week probably the biggest test of the season. Dogs looked very good tonight.

Hate to be the devil's advocate here but we have major defensive issues. Teams score far too often when going forward against us. Big test against the Dogs next week. One of the best attacking teams vs one of the best defensive teams. They have so many talls.
