Imo 94 was the best team we had of all our finals years from 87-2006. All those young ones from the 87 and 88 sides had reached their peak and reached an age where we should have contested for the flag. Unfortunately injuries plagued the likes of Tingay, Charles, Lyon, Jakovich. We lost so much fire power so quickly over the years. It's actually no surprise we bounced back in 1998 bevause we had a fit side for once, although we lost Neitz for 10 weeks with a broken ankle. 1994's team was built for finals and it showed against Carlton and the Bulldogs.

AFL Members will be full. I suspect they have been snapped up by Swans members. AFL Members tends to be full of international supporters but I've never seen it snapped up so quickly. IMO we're looking at 65k.

Ports pressure has been amazing in Collingwood's defense. As for Howe, he's a loose defender who has skills. He's also clutch as we saw a few times in Melbourne colours. We've covered his loss well but he still lacks urgency. I'd rather Frost every day of the week.

I honestly thing that Jones and Watts missing is a blessing in disguise. For one the Eagles are super complacent on their home ground and will be more so with those two out of our side. Secondly, I feel it opens the door of opportunity for two very good young players in Hannan and Stretch. I'm going to keep close watch on Hannan tonight because I have a feeling tonight is his breakout game. Gawn back in gives Pederson more flexibility and his a super smart footballer. It's obviously a shame Jones and Watts are out but I think that in some capacity it'll work out.

Not sure what to think of this game. Like Adelaide I think West Coast's credentials are grossly overstated. I see that we're more likely to lose than win but gee a win over there with Jones, Watts and Hogan out would have us in serious flag contention.

Glad they went with Stretch instead of reading Demonland and having an emotional kumbaya by adding Trengove. Far more important an in with Stretch.

Who cares? He had his moment...I think against Richmond last year? Or was it Collingwood? We're well beyond good news stories now. He came in last year when we were desperate and had too many untried and under performing VFL youngsters. He's 3rd or 4th string at best. If he's best 22 in any scenario, then our midfield is VERY thin. It's a blessing in disguise he's not getting a game. We simply don't want to be in that situation. Harsh and tough reality.

Would be very surprised if he ever plays again. Consistent form at VFL level but question whether he's up to AFL standard. His pace is understated in a slower VFL competition. I just don't think he translates well to AFL anymore.
