Made the tough call a few years ago that once the team improves he'll be found out. He plays as bad as those around him and that's a major indictment on his leadership skills.

Jones, Vince, Lewis just don't provide the leadership when we need it. Jones plays like a perennial loser too often. He's just not a winner. I hate seeing guys like Petracca, Oliver, Viney even Tyson work so hard to get this team over the line, but then face one-way running and no options. Garlett was shocking. Watts is having a bad month. Pederson does what he can but is fairly limited. Still think he is best 22. Our depth has been tested without Hogan and Gawn, we've been in winning positions but simply can't get over. We're just not finals quality. Had an opportunity to go to 6th and failed miserably. Sydney will bounce back. Freo, Bombers, Port, Saints all vying for one or maybe two spots. Last week was nice but it means nothing after today.

He's responded well imo. Not getting as many possessions because Norf have closed in at the stoppages, hence long quarters. Just can't seem to get a handball off. But he's still in it imo.

They are beating us EXACTLY the same way Hawthorn did: fast running, put defense under pressure, exploit lack of height. We play into it by slowing the game down and forcing a long high kick to a contest. We are far more flat and slow than we were against the Hawks. Think it's also a matter of not respecting the opponent. That was a shocking lack of effort for a first quarter. Not so sure we'll come back from this. Happy to be proven wrong. I think Norf play into having the mental edge over us.
