  1. You hate it so much, why come here.? Why not make your own site, in a whitewashed, right wing styled show ? ... and maybe Israel Fau'lout will happen along, as well.
  2. Its not Just... the training facilities we need... we need to own a Region. To grow the clubs base, from grass-roots and up. So we need an inner-city catch-up place, and an inner-city training oval, next to a major station. Richmond... so Gosch's, with an office and social-facility... . And we need a major complex outside Melbourne... somewhere for a future training complex. Sandown or Dandenong-Sth.
  3. aagh.... Maybe it could be a Membership trip to the 'G', with a choice of one-way Steam trip (for kids who need to be home straight after the game... V-line return ). ... or return trip, for adults/parents with kids ( membership, with homeward-bound Wine Package), to and from the 'G' ... That would make it an easy taxi ride home, from your local station.
  4. I agree... one more 'full game' with Casey, before coming back.
  5. I would leave Oscar Baker in PF. I reckon he's doing OK. Ins : May, Hore, Salem, Preuss, Outs : OMc, jWagner, Stretch, TMc ? emerg : Lockhart, Neal-Bullen
  6. At least OMc keeps out-bodying his opponent, so he's in front... keeping his opponent between him and the goal... Tis just a pity that the opposition keep kicking the ball over Omc's head.! Maybe he's a forward, in someone else's body ?
  7. The AFL FIX is in...! Where will it turn-up, next week ?
  8. Dee Casey Train. For the 'kick-off the season', membership drive. Free 'Dee-Train' trip to the 'mcG' ( Pakenham to the 'G' )
  9. Flanders looks like he has a low centre of gravity... heavy thru the hips and legs ??? Has he got quick reflexes, and mind ?
  10. I just went to check on the Northport and Arden St Ovals. Northport is apparently way too small (by 25M x 25M)... and Arden st was recently extended to be the same size as telstra Dome. Arden st has an outdoor pool, and large office complex.
  11. He 'looks', a bit like Petracca... does he play in a style like him
  12. https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-05-30/u18-championships-20-young-guns-to-watch Hayden Young 11/4/01 188cm/82kg Vic Country/Dandenong Stingrays Defender Young looked every bit the early pick at the MCG against the Casey Scorpions VFL side when he gathered 17 disposals and six marks in a polished performance. He has at times played in the midfield this year but looks most comfortable and is more damaging across half-back, where his vision, poise and precise kicking stands out. Young, whose brother Lachie made his debut recently with the Western Bulldogs, is a good size and considered a leader within his group. Lachie Ash 21/6/01 186cm/80kg Vic Country/Murray Bushrangers Defender Ash brings real speed to the draft crop. He's a line-breaker off half-back who is given the licence to thrill: he enjoys whipping the ball under his arm and taking the game forward. Ash doesn't run aimlessly – he's composed with the ball but adds plenty of excitement. Ash has played at senior level before – he won a country premiership with Shepparton last year – and finished second in the Murray Bushrangers' best and fairest last season. Dylan Stephens 8/1/01 183cm/70kg South Australia/Norwood Midfielder A strong engine, combined with a turn of pace and a classy left foot make Stephens one of the more desirable midfielders available. Stephens, who grew up in country Victoria before moving to South Australia for school, has played for Norwood at senior level this season but will take on more responsibility for SA's under-18 season. Models his game on Greater Western Sydney star Josh Kelly. Dylan Williams 1/7/01 185cm/79kg Vic Metro/Oakleigh Chargers Forward Williams showed his talent last year for the Chargers when he booted 14 goals in their finals series. When in attack Williams is a threat in the air, where his marking is a real strength, and also on the ground, given his savviness near goal and sharp left foot. He has also been used across half-back, where his reading of the play comes to the fore, and at times in bursts through the midfield. If Williams is having a quiet day he will often find a way to impact a game, and he has genuine X-factor and ability. Caleb Serong 9/2/01 179cm/82kg Vic Country/Gippsland Power Forward/midfielder Serong is a powerful small forward/midfielder who can influence a game in a number of ways. The talented cricketer is sharp at ground level and neat by foot, and is able to set up teammates with deft passes and clever ball use. He's crafty around goal, and when he's in the midfield has a burst of speed. Serong, who will co-captain Vic Country at the carnival, averaged 22 disposals and six tackles in his first two games of the NAB League season with Gippsland. Nick Bryan 22/10/01 202cm/87kg Vic Metro/Oakleigh Chargers Ruckman Has come from the clouds to be the best ruckman in the draft class by some way. Bryan's form early this season – he averaged 25 hit-outs a game in the first three rounds for the Chargers – saw him win selection in the Australian under-18s team to face VFL side Casey Scorpions in April. Although lightly framed, Bryan's strengths lie in being an extra midfielder around the ground. He has good skills and game sense, and can also provide a marking option. Thomson Dow 16/10/01 182cm/71kg Vic Country/Bendigo Pioneers Midfielder The younger brother of Carlton's Paddy has taken the eye of recruiters this year. He is different to Paddy, playing a little bit taller and occasionally drifting forward to offer a target. Dow is lean but agile and with a burst, and started the season in strong form for the Pioneers, including a 28-disposal and two-goal effort against the Geelong Falcons in round one. https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-05-30/u18-championships-20-young-guns-to-watch
  13. I just had a read about 20 anticipated AFL young guns ? He's one who sounds good to me. Also that young ruck (Nick Bryan) , and another running midfielder (Dylan Stephens) who also sounded interesting. Nick Bryan, Dylan Stephens, Caleb Serong, Lachie Ash, Hayden Young 11/4/01 188cm/82kg Vic Country/Dandenong Stingrays Defender Lachie Ash 21/6/01 186cm/80kg Vic Country/Murray Bushrangers Defender Dylan Stephens 8/1/01 183cm/70kg South Australia/Norwood Midfielder Dylan Williams 1/7/01 185cm/79kg Vic Metro/Oakleigh Chargers Forward Nick Bryan 22/10/01 202cm/87kg Vic Metro/Oakleigh Chargers Ruckman Thomson Dow 16/10/01 182cm/71kg Vic Country/Bendigo Pioneers Midfielder

  15. I think HE pulled the pin on a Darwin return. I hope the club hasn't penalised him for that.?
  16. I thought that kid looked like you Biff... but whats with the Hawks, I always thought you were a loyal Dee.? Or were you there undercover... infiltrating the Hawks cheer-squad.? ?
  17. I expect us to hoist a very wet sail 'RN', with $$$$'s written all over it. Coniglio... Perhaps we could offer up the money we saved... by not hitching up the $ulky.
  18. What, your kidding me. I can't believe it. So there was not lead in to this sad thing, for any of thm to prepare. R.I.P. Anna Green.
  19. So very sorry for Brad & his families. I've been stuck for words, stunned. I didn't even recall Green'y was married... and kids as well. Just ah, what a loss. I don't know how anyone can... It would be tough to even carry on. I guess, the purpose in this is the Kids, that/they gives one the strength, to maintain momentum.
  20. I agree I can see Frost pinch-hitting as a defensive forward, under the right circumstances.
