  1. I saw that. Also I noticed that Bugg was 3rd. Three guys that we didn't have running around last year.
  2. Didn't pick Howe or Fasolo as The Swan type patrons. Thought they'd be more south of the yarra types.
  3. Not sure if i should officially call it that Hawthorn can't win the premiership yet or not???
  4. Am hoping to get along on Sunday, however given it's a day game and mother's day, i think i'm going to be pushing it up hill with the other half.
  5. Can't decide who i'd like to see loose more tonight.... One of those occasions where i think a draw would be very fitting!
  6. They may be, but i wouldn't be at all suprised to see two of those three still running around with us next year.
  7. As for the talls, i expect Dawes, the weed & King to all play forward withTim Smith (Casey vice captain) to play on a flank as a 4th tall as he's pretty mobile. Surely Frost will play back.
  8. Is Matt Jones the first player ever to miss 3 weeks with general soreness? Bit disappointed Hulett's been managed this week. His form has been on the steady improve so would have liked him to keep playing. Rest him once he had a quieter week.
  9. May come in for Pedersen?
  10. Richmond have brought it on themselves with poor recruiting and a toxic culture. That's why they haven't been able to land any big fish. I look forward to watching Richmond, Freo and within a year or so North down towards the bottom of the ladder.
  11. Jones & Vince have been awesome and are still playing great footy, however i'm not too concerned about finding their replacements. Think they'll come from the very group you mentioned -Viney, Tyson, Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca, Salem, Neal-Bullen, Stretch, Kennedy, Harmes etc who are all still only 22 or younger. Not to mention Prestia if we can land him, who we've been linked to for several years now. Lumumba & Garland too i think we're already looking at internal options to move up the ranks. With the return of Melksham next year and the natural development of Hunt, Wagner & White there's options there. Jetta's now into his 3rd consistent year of quality football and probably has another 4 or 5 left, so i'm not too concerned about any developing replacement for him. Dunn on the other hand we do need to look at going forward. Turns 29 this month and looks to be on the decline. Will Oscar or Frost be able to replace him to mind the gorillas or is this an area on our list that still needs work? And even in the key forward department, we saw the club last year draft Weideman & Hulett, two promising young key forwards to ensure Jesse wasn't the only key we were pinning our hopes on (Hello Bulldogs & Tom Boyd). The point is Roos, Taylor, Viney & Mahoney have built the list very nicely so that we have a good young core coming through. It's not just about the now. And this is what Richmond failed to do.
  12. Actually played as the 2nd ruck a few times in his debut season a few times out at Casey and did alright. Agree defence is probably his best position though.
  13. Thanks for the run down BB. Sounds like you and I are both Billy & Mitch White fans.
  14. Sounds like that was after the Demons match.
  15. Would love Hurley, and i hope we make him our number 1 priority for this off season, however i wouldn't break the bank for him until we know what's happening with Hogan. Once we have the hulk signed up, that's when we can add the icing to the cake. If Hurley knocks back our offer, then i'd look for some depth such as Lachie Hansen like another poster suggested, as Dunn and Garland look to be coming towards the end. I still think Sam Frost could become a genuine utility who could be used to plug holes forward, back, in the ruck and potentially even on a wing.
  16. That's a stark admission and a pretty damming one at that. Not only to the members but the senior players on your list. To come out and say the last few years were spent building just to play finals with no real belief to challenging is nothing more then a waste of everyone's time. I mean blame the compromised drafts all you want, but you can still get creative. Melbourne's Pick 2 &20 (i think it was) for Tyson & Pick 9 as an example. I'd be filthy as a Richmond supporter. Sure we stuffed 2008 - 2013 up, but the intentions were to build a list to contend, it was just done poorly. The fact Richmond have just been setting their sights to be middle of the road for an extended period to keep fans happy is an indictment on the club IMO.
  17. I still submit that was probably Richmond's best game for the year. They were up for that one. They were beaten before they even ran out against Port with Rance missing and they played that way.
  18. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-04-28/richmond-list-good-enough-to-win-a-flag-says-brett-deledio http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/richmond/richmond-insist-it-doesnt-need-to-rebuild-despite-15-start-to-the-season/news-story/d921e58e881169eaca12eef36da6059e I just love this. The longer they keep thinking like this, the longer they stay in mediocrity!
  19. This is true, however we played quite a physical game against the Tigers and most Saints fans will tell you that their players never turned up against the Giants.
  20. Sound and smart post. Loss was very disappointing, but far from end of the world. I think with supporters it's more the opportunity lost then the loss itself. To move into the 8 and finally beat St Kilda would have been great, but we'll get another crack at them later in the year. Confident we'll bounce back next week to keep the pressure on the Suns.
