I remember his game well that day vs the crows, thinking to myself, gee we have a player here. What a disappointment it has been for young Jay since then. Don't know why he hasn't progressed at all.

Bring in Bugg to improve our goal kicking accuracy. Seriously though Out: Spargo, Hunt, Pedersen, JKH In: Kent, Melksham, Hibberd, Hannan ?

Season over for mine, mental fragility is our distinguishing characteristic

Lets face it, we've been the ultimate flat track bully side of the comp this year. I'm not reading too much into how much we've scored because most of that has been in the smashing of teams below us. I'm severely concerned that we have fallen at every hurdle against harder teams (maybe excepting the Adelaide away win). I'm extremely worried that we go 0-3 in the last three rounds and miss finals. This week is the ultimate put up or shut up game for the Dees.

My thoughts almost exactly. My only tweak would be that an AFL appointed (ie. objective) doctor makes the ruling on whether the affected player is fit to resume the field of play. Only concern I suppose would be the potential for gaming this system if say one of your stars (eg Dusty Martin) commits a borderline offence against a lesser player that could probably play on under normal circumstances, but under the new ruling could take himself off for a dodgy concussion test, thus consigning the star offender to the sin bin. I still think the AFL should look at it. Would any of you had any qualms about Bugg being sin binned/ red carded for his hit last year? I know I wouldn't have.

I'm in favour of issuing a send off if an opponent is rendered incapable of resuming as a direct result of a cardable offence. Seems only fair.

Hogan's trade value decreasing with each week.

Only still in it because Adelaide are so ordinary. Any half decent tem would be 6-8 goals up already. I'm officially over Garlett, delist. Petracca is the ultimate built like Tarzan plays like Jane, not a footballers [censored]

I'd bring back Kent for JKH. Other than that, no change unless Harmes isn't right, in which case maybe Bugg. Heaven help us if that's the case. I give us no chance of winning this game or the Eagles game or GWS, which will see us miss the 8. Could conceivably lose all remaining fixtures, with GCS now showing something.

Bernie Vince lost the game for us with that ridiculous spoil from the point kick in. Unopposed, no Geelong players in the marking contest and he spikes the ball out of his teammates hands. Beggars belief really, from our most experienced campaigner, pfft!

Players either guarding space or two or more players tackling one means teams can just waltz away from packs. No trust in this team.

Last chance for Kennedy-Harris?

Looks like a lamb amongst wolves so far? -
No, has more than enough runs on the board.
-
Time for Jones to relinquish the captaincy, just a soldier now who can't hit targets and doesn't inspire his teammates. Out: Joel Smith (no smarts), Tyson (the slow butcher), Petty (not at AFL standard at this stage). Backline needs a major reshuffle. Midfield is too freakin slow, forwards are not playing for each other, Goodwin on thin ice now.

Maybe he's drunk on bathwater?

This season is done, can't beat any team of note.
-
Hogan - maybe a defender? Petracca - Casey demons beckon Vince - it's all over Jones - hack away captain Viney- you're not Dusty Goodwin - makes strange moves J. Smith - has butter fingers Me - hope now lost

We could miss finals with 13 wins

I've lost all my belief after seeing us mauled at the coalface all game long. Every team in the comp has now been shown our Achilles heel, manic tackling pressure, a sprinkling of dash on the wings and some big bodies in the forward line. I'm very concerned about the backline now. We were pushing our luck with the number of lightly frsmed types running around against a hardened big body team like Collingwood. Fritsch, Spargo, Hannan, ANB all looked out of their depth on the big stage. -
We have that at home, a joke of a game, with no strategy.
-
Bad timing! I'd bring in Jeffy then, try him out in the midfield at times. Roosy used to do it.
-
Hunt in for the rest of the year.
-
Wonder if there are any board games that help you learn when to tackle and when not to corral.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again

Agree mostly with the op, except you take him out and nobody besides Jetta in the back half has any composure in traffic. I think we better not play both him and Vince again in the same side. We are this year's Port, can't beat anyone in the top 8. Our lack of fight from the opening bounce was so incredibly disappointing. We're nowhere near ready for a serious crack at finals. Embarrassed to be a demon fan today, and to think I took day of annual leave so i could start home and watch that pitiful performance. Won't be doing that ever again. -
Disagree, the team that prevented us from playing finals was us!! I want to see Goodwin focus on replicating what we did to the Crows in the first quarter, complete midfield domination, organised defending, hard spread and clinical finishing. Go Dees!

No reason why we can't win the next 6 games in a row. I'm starting to believe we're in the mix for top two as long as hogan, hibbo, tmac, omac, gawn and Oliver remain injury free.
