  1. I sit in the MCC are and you are allowed to make a noise. Cast your mind back to when we played Hawthorn and Geelong at the G in 2018 to make the finals, the sound inside the MCC (and around the ground) was unbelievable. When Kossie has the ball the noise around the ground lifts incredibly - he is so exciting. I am not talking about general play noise but when we were down by a couple of goals there was nothing on Saturday night. We (the supporters)went back into our shells and conceded that we were going to lose. Maybe we should do what Geelong does and not allow large groups of opposition supporters to sit together. The group of Fremantle and Swan supporters were sitting directly behind and next to their cheer squads. The Swans do have a larger than normal interstate supporter base in Melbourne largely due to the work of Tony Morwood but the noise coming from that area was commented by many people sitting around us. It made me think that there is some technical device amplifying the sound to make it sound better for TV, the difference was so notable. If we dont come together on Monday we will look ridiculous, and the players will need our support and noise especially after this morning's news.
  2. Didn’t he sign another contract just recently?
  3. I was thinking last night how much noise the Swans cheer squad were making and same last week against Fremantle. It seems there is little noise from around the ground. Where are the chants usually initiated by the Demon Army and the reserve areas and then taken up by the MCC supporters. Even in the MCC where there was some enthusiasm pre Premiership there was silence. My family and a friend tried to get something going but no there was zip. I know that the players love the noise that we used to make. What has happened. Have we become so complacent. In no way would I blame the Demon Army. They are just as enthusiastic as in previous years but come on everyone it really is incumbent on all of us to make a noise not just wait for the Demon Army to start something.
  4. So we can rule you out to act for Buddy
  5. I don't need another reason. Sorry WCW I am going to have to do it 🤮🤮
  6. How they adjudicate holding of each other's arms. That should have been play on.
  7. It's Buddy. Would anything surprise us and the conspiracy theorist in me tells me someone higher up would love to keep a Sydney team in the running.
  8. KC what position does Ellison play and did Brown do enough to play against the Swans next week.
  9. He is there supporting his best mate Hibberd
  10. We can always count on you WCW to bring some clarity to some of the comments on here. The vitriol against Melksham on here is similar to that was aimed at Jay Kennedy Harris some years ago. Everyone understands that Jake is not playing to the same level as he did a couple of years ago but does that mean he should be subjected to the spiteful comments that are being made by the same old landers. As I commented when Jay was being targeted that there are family members who read the "Land" and are mortified by what was/is being said. Maybe think before typing. Now when it comes to Collingwood - go for your life🤣
  11. Don’t think Sue would take too kindly to that🤣
  12. Today at the game North declared they were closing in on 50,000 members. Why as Premiers can we only have 60,000 members. North bottom down the ladder and yet still can achieve 50,000 members. What is holding us back. MCC Members not taking up memberships?
  13. I thought North played a very spiteful game. If we come up against a team that plays tough and spiteful and plays with far greater skill than North we will be really tested. The hit on Langdon was right in front of me and the stuffing was knocked out of him. Whilst the kick for goal was taken Clayton ran over to him and looked like he was asking how he was and Ed just put his head down and Clayton wrapped both arms around him. It didn’t look good. We need Ed to play next week. We missed his pace and run today. Thank goodness next week we are at MCG and not in WA. We need to lift.
  14. Why are we playing at Geeeelong. This game at MCG would get 60 - 70000. It should be moved to allow for a bigger crowd and when did Essendon or Collingwood play down there last!! I wonder how many tickets Geelong will hand out to us this year with all the construction going on down there. There is little to no hope of a good contingent of Melbourne supporters getting to the game. Exactly what they want. I can understand the AFL sending us down there in previous years but we are the Premiers and surely that has to count for something. You’d think.
  15. Does "kicking in danger" exist anymore? Sainters did this a number of times.
  16. I was watching him prior to the game starting and he was kicking those goals from 50m out. I know no pressure etc. I still believe his kicking smarts have not left him but unfortunately his finishing skills have diminished. I agree DD it was not his worse game tonight but definitely not good enough to keep him in the side against St. Kilda. I hope though they are able to find 2 games for him before his contract finishes.
  17. Kick ins are so predictable especially from May. He just seems to wait for Max to arrive, Just occasionally go down the middle or to Ed,. A number of times today Langdon was standing unmanned but still May and Rivers didn’t go to him.
  18. Whose big face will you be holding or will you take on the bulls eye
  19. Would that study apply to those players who contracted the Delta variant which seemed to have had harsher symptoms but not as virulent as Omicron. Also in March 2020 had they been vaccinated. Obviously we are all hoping that because they are young and fit and vaccinated that they will be available asap after iso.
