If, and that's a big if, we don't beat this on Thursday I am expecting a new banner made on Thursday night to read "FREE ROO".

I know that this is little of topic but everyone should look at the latest twitter feed from the Club and if it doesn't move you to tears I dont know what will. I hope on Monday night,all the boys play their hearts out for Gus and all the other servicemen that risk and have given their lives for us.

That was right in front of us and TMac gave out an very loud groan when hit and then stayed down for a long time whilst play went on. The trainer tried to get on the ground but couldn't get on because of the play around her. By the sound of the hit and the subsequent groaning coming from Tommy I wouldn't have been surprised if he didn't play this week. Glad that he trained today.

That is rubbish. He went through extra during the summer to make sure that he wouldn't just end up at Casey and give the firsts a really good final go. Did you see how he reacted with that goal on the siren against the Swans. Of course the fire still burns.

The other problem we seem to have is engaging MCC Members financially. Look at our home games in the MCC and it is usually full of MFC barrackers but how many of them actually financially support the Club. It is difficult to convince MCC members to buy a dual membership when they can access all games through their MCC Membership. If we could get some of those MCC Members to part with $89, our membership would be well over 60,000 now. I would have thought that this area of membership would have increased after winning the Premiership but it doesn't seem to have had any bounce back.

For the last two seasons my ticketek MCC Reserve seats email on my phone has not worked so I usually take a paper copy to the game. If I forget I join the queue at the MCC Service counter and they print one out for me. The Ticketek service is negligible and Ticketmaster aren't much better but we shouldn't blame the Club as they are working in the AFL ticketing world. They have very little say as to how or why ticketing is handled the way that it is. For MCC members, MCC do not release all Reserve seats at once but rather wait to see the response and then release as demand increases. I received an email today outlining the game day instructions. More importantly if you haven't received your card or you cant download your membership to your phone go to the Memberships Services Team at Gate 3. I'm not sure but I dont think the HUB will be up and running so Gate 3 may well be the only option. Also there are no scarves being given out this year. If you want a card but didn't opt in when you renewed, give the Club a call and ask if you can retroactively opt in for a card. I think the message to all is to get there a little bit earlier than you would in the past just in case you encounter a problem.

The Club have had the specific WWC course along with the WWC for some years. I believe it applies to all Volunteers with the Club.

Did we ever look at Prahran which we have historical ties with. The only problem would be parking but the train station is easily accessible. Stonnington wouldn't be putting anything into it so it would be all Danny. Nice opportunity for our "dear" leader to swan around with the hoi poloii of Stonniington.

I was told by someone last Friday night that nothing will happen to facilitate approval of funding for a "home" for the MFC until after the election. I was also told that they are looking at a second site (apart from the AAMI site). The other problem that we have with finding the funds for a base is that Casey does not have suitable facilities for AFLW teams which will mean that we have to find funds to upgrade the current facilities (I presume with partial or full (Not sure) funding from Casey which in turn may come from the Vic Gov) and also have the ability to fund the construction of a base (with the assistance of the Victorian Gov.). I am not sure how the latest upgrade to Casey was funded. From what I can gather there is a lot going on behind the scene which until something is concrete will not be divulged by the Club. No use spruiking something and it then fall over. We will end up looking like Essendon.🤮

Just regurgitated rubbish that some on here espouse. Watching him at Casey he is a great mentor to the younger boys but we have also seen him play some great games but unfortunately now lacks the consistency. He was preparing for the "after life" so another year probably on reduced pay would be seen as a bonus to him but as mentioned he would be likely to play a slightly different role.

The image of Ron Barassi at the end just did it for me. God I love this Club.

For the last game, my son was in Florence with his girlfriend. Said girlfriend decided she needed to go shopping. No problems. Every minute or so I would get a text - Kozzie, Bayley, Trac, Kozzie. He said he was getting plenty of strange looks outside the leather market and he has never been so pleased that the girlfriend took so long. Is currently in Berlin but organised that he would be home for first PF. All my hard work has come to fruition. He is as mad a MFC supporter as I am.

You will be let out by next Friday. All will be well.

And don't forget what would have to be AFL involvement in GWS creating a job for $$'s father.

Did anyone have trouble with getting MCC seats. I was in around 9.10 and couldnt get three tickets for level 2, tried level 1 not enough tickets. Ended up in Q nosebleed territory for the first time ever. Went back in and only seats left are in Q and walk up. MCC is going to be rocking Friday night.

Just as the mark was taken you could see ANB in the background go down with a Brisbane player next to him. I couldn't make out who it was but it was off the ball and deserves a look.

If (sorry when) we win the GF I want to see this at the B&F led of course by Trac and Ollie.
