  1. Loved Nate's gentle touch up of Selwood. I loath Geeelong and my son thinks it is because of all the years that they made us sit on concrete behind a wire fence down at the Cattery. I think it is because of their obnoxious and arrogant leaders. If we get behind they will never know when we are going to pounce such is the mental demons they will now have after our last game.
  2. I've got five extra Demon supporters going Friday night. It will be great if we can drown out any Jeeeeelong supporters.
  3. There is another option you could try and that is the Demon Army. Have a look on their website and see if there is any way you can get a ticket through them.
  4. I'm marvelling at the number of Essendon supporters that seem to be there. Definitely outnumbering Bulldog supporters. 🤨
  5. I am absolutely with you. Everyone plays at a neutral venue would have been fairer for everyone but fair and AFL HQ dont ever align. Will Brisbane get a home game if they win. I bet they do. I will laugh (no I won't) if McGowan calls a lockdown and the GF is played with no crowd. What a joke.
  6. Tom has just emailed back to say the following: "Both are options but Carpark E is favoured at this stage. Which is closer to Collingwood F.C." So there we are confirmed from the horses mouth so to speak.,
  7. I haven't got a Twitter account and thought if someone else could send out a tweet it would illicit a quicker response. I have however now emailed him and hopefully will get a response from him.
  8. Ring the Club in Melbourne and they will talk you through the process. Dont give up going as we need as many supporters there as possible. Good Luck.
  9. A response to a question I put to a Board member re the possibility of Collingwood moving back to Victoria Park was an emphatic highly unlikely. Obviously with all the development at Victoria Park I would have thought it would be the best outcome for us and financially for them (presuming they are have a "lease" with the state government). My understanding is that it is the Carpark opposite Gosch's that is being considered so can someone put out a tweet to Tom Morris and ask him to reconfirm his information?
  10. If anyone is going to achieve this it is our new President.
  11. Nice to see Demon supporters out and also great that Gawny always leads the players over to where the supporters are to thank them
  12. Highly unlikely that there will be a new team in Tasmania for two reasons: The AFL have told the Clubs that they will all lose $$$ from the AFL to finance a new Club and secondly the Broadcast deal is based on increased viewing in NSW and Queensland. As far as TV RIghts go, Tasmania are seen not to have the viewing numbers. You can imagine the Clubs reaction to possibly having their distributions decreased. However I think the real killer is the Broadcast deal. So unless you can get around those two deterrents the only way I can see a Tasmanian team entering the AFL is if the Tasmanian Government is proposing to completely finance a new team or a current Melbourne team is to be relocated. Then there is the usual (and current) allowances made in drafting etc. Emotionally I would love to see a Tasmanian side join the AFL but the AFL has not got an ounce of emotion in their collective body.
  13. I know that but when they are side on you cant see the numbers?
  14. I keep getting mixed up which is which. Yelling out like a fool for the wrong one. They are so similar although I think Langers is a little smoother in his running and Jaydn a bit more frantic. Love them both and so pleased for Jayden how he is playing because at one stage he looked like he wouldn't be at the Club for much longer.
  15. Watching BB at Casey, he still does not have the ground skills and is relatively slow (still) despite having a mini season. He may have had them when he was 15 but he just doesnt seem to be able to bend down or deviate or baulk away from the opposition. If however the other players are prepared to up their ground skills to make up for BB's lack of, his goal kicking will more than makeup for what he will never have. Come on Goody, play him.
  16. Got back from Sandown Racecourse about an hour ago (races not covid related) and both carparks were full. Given there were about 30 punters at the races I'm presuming that this latest round of lockdowns has pushed many unvaccinated to go and get the jab.
  17. Hopefully the MCC give more than a couple of hours before tickets go on sale.
  18. Just got mine so there must be some left. I only wanted one so that might have made it easier.
  19. Given that we have a Bye next week and Buckley's resignation probable effect, I would hope that if Salem and Lever are sore they can rest up over the BYE. I would think that a lot of the players may need a rest. Salem certainly looked patchy last week.
  20. Andy, have just subscribed again and checked payment with only one subscription gone through. Thanks
  21. I can see a Machiavellian type of move here. Filth: "Let's offer Sam Mitchell the gig"; he goes to Hawthorn "Gee boys, I've had the triffic offer from the filth" .Panic stations at Glenferrie/Waverley. "Alistair, the filth are trying to poach the golden boy. Thanks for the good years but we're going to have to let you go (at the end of the year)" Alistair feigning surprise wins every game left (except ours). In the meantime, Jeffrey unaware of this dastardly and cunning move has isolated Clarkson with the Filth only to sweep in with a fabulous offer to coach a disintegrating club. Clarkson walks out the Crown door after an uneventful B&F to the sounds OF Virtue - Thanks for Nothing? The only proviso is I'm not sure anyone at Collingwood would understand a Machiavellian move.
