If that is the case then he made it even harder for himself.

Ben Brown article
One way to fix our so called cultural problems would be to get Ben Brown back to Club in some capacity.

Geez your hatred for Ess......... has no depth. That conversation hopefully might put them off from looking at Hird as our next coach🤮 We know what influence you have at the Club!!

2025 MRO & Tribunal
I was half expecting Kossie to be cited from Sunday for attempting to mark and as a result the opposition player fell to the ground.😰 3-4 all the time for a Melbourne player

PREGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Someone does apart from Kossie who spends half his time in the forward line.

No hasn't the leg speed. Great football brain though. In my opinion he will be better than Langford!

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Culley was left in the VFL not because of your assertion but because of his inconsistency. His attack on the ball/player now in the Seniors is result of making him work just that little bit harder in the VFL. It goes to show that Taylor has again found another "goody".

Simon Goodwin Sacked
After reading all of the above I am inclined to think that Goody was told last night and he has rung Max who would have rung the other Club leaders Viney etc. So I wouldn't be so sure that the players were not aware. The next step would be for Brad to speak to the players this morning. (A function being held this morning has been cancelled due I am presuming to the players not being available and obviously the circumstances.) As another poster commented that it wouldn't take much for someone to call their family and the "leak" is established. We are not Carlton and our Board would not act without much consideration and reason. I think some posters on here are not giving them more credit as a decision of this magnitude would have incredible impact not just on the playing group but on club sponsors and supporters. There seems to be a sense of urgency around the decision which to me is more to do with tying up the right coach rather than ineptness which some here assert. I am looking forward to 2026. We have a great core of mature players and a group of exciting young boys improving and yes "learning" every game. All supporters should be excited to what the future brings.

Or somehow change the ruling next year "a la" Maynard/Brayshaw "incident".

NON-MFC: Round 19
A couple of years ago our injury list was almost as bad (not quite). I remember being told that they had to get some Casey players to make up the numbers at training. There was no sympathy for us in the media.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
My son was playing hockey for his school and was hit in the head by a hockey ball. This parent (me) flew down the hockey ground, coat flapping in the wind, nothing was going to stop me from being with him at that moment. He was lying still on the ground. I would do the same if he was playing on the MCG only slightly slower getting to him. I can imagine what Tommy's mother was feeling at the time worse because she couldn't be with him.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
It was telling in an interview with Jake Melksham after last week's game about how he feels about the game against Adelaide. His immediate response was "yeah, another away game" with emphasis on another. Everyone is feeling it.

Christian Petracca 200 Games
I have a feeling that there will be a very high MFC supporter crowd on Sunday. It feels a little like we weren't there to see them win so lets make up for it on Sunday. I know a lot of people who weren't sure about going to now definitely going. Hopefully this might be reflected in unrenewed members taking the plunge (so to speak)!

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
Find it so interesting that not so long ago Goody had really sunk to the depths making Clarry "a tagger". Clarry was looking to move Clubs for a new start because he was tired of starting on the bench. This week Goody made a master move by making Clarry a tagger. No more talk of him wanting out of the MFC. The silence is deafenng.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Gold Coast
Sorry to disagree, but I thought generally all the players were around him when he kicked the goal. Your first comment about not running on to enable a handball was spot on. Is it game plan or just not fit enough to match GWS or GS.

Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Lindsay
This to me is one of the most important issues both for this year and coming years. Watching the years of Richmond, Brisbane and Hawthorn winning multiple premierships, one of the reasons why was the team played together over some years. We have blooded 6 new-ish players into our team for their first game. To me they way they performed within the team, having played no real games together was one of the highlights of the game. They gelled well with players that had played many years together. The future, if we can keep them together, bodes well for future of our Club.
