  1. I heard a funny story about when Scott was appointed. He was meeting one of the coterie groups and the head of the coterie asked for Scott's mobile number. Scott said "what for?" And the coterie guy said "oh i always have the coach's mobile number" "Not this f**ing coach you don't" came the reply Coterie man was shocked 😲 The coterie groups have always had way too much power at bomberland The club is hamstrung by their glory days, powerful supporters and an inbred mentality Long may it continue
  2. Adelaide played on the Friday night night in Perth and flew back late. A 6 day break. No real difference to us on a 5 day break with no travel.
  3. Well it cost us the game last year in Adelaide so there's that....
  4. We are disciplined about not committing too many numbers to the contest. Unlike, say, Collingwood last year. We trust our players to win contest but if they don't we have players on the outside to sweat on the the oppo players. That per se would see us lose ground ball gets but be better off tactically
  5. It seemed that in the first quarter our mids were being towelled up and not supporting our defence. 19 x i50s against is a huge number and May, Rivers, McDee and Lever were superb
  6. His kicking does my head in. Last week when kicking for goal after the siren he was laser focused on running in a straight line and kicking in a straight line. He never does that when kicking normally. Its so freaking basic, Tracc is guilty of that as well Fritsch seems to be the only one to practice that
  7. Missed tackles were infuriating.
  8. Sparrow played a really good game. 98% midfield, huge pressure stats and a brilliant desperate smother resulting in the Tracc goal Key grunt worker
  9. Didn't touch the ball in the 1st half and his efforts were lame but when he's on he's on
  10. Same as last week
  11. Tracc May McVee Sparrow Lever Gawn What a gun McVee is. Superb reader of the play and an elite foot
  12. We've had 8frees in 3 and 1/2 qtrs of footy They've had 19 FFS
  13. Good from tmac
  14. Disgraceful block on may
  15. Fritsch needs a rocket pathetic
  16. Really poor from rivers
  17. Midfield need to lift bigtime
  18. Small fwd is one of the hardest and most thankless roles in a team. You lead maybe 25/28 times a game (22 times they ignore you) , you chase oppo defenders, you move up to help the mids and give an exit out of defence. It takes a huge tank and a lot of patience and determination. Chin plays the role very well and is becoming more reliable by the game. Good player
  19. The 5 day break is a furphy . Adelaide had a 6 day break and had to travel back late on the Friday night. We don't have to travel as we are already in Adelaide. Fitness won't be a problem for us.
  20. Adelaide the number 1 scoring side in the whole competition in 2023. This year they have scored 54, 77 and 34 pts. Something is going wrong at West Lakes. Tonights not the night they are going to turn that ship around. Go Dees
  21. Since round 0 our games have been professional, disciplined and clinical. We have a new belief in the way we are playing and have stuck to our task. The camaraderie that was missing in 22,23 is back along with care for our teamates. They are driven to go 2-0 in Adelaide and will turn it on tonight Dees by 32 pts Kozzie to kick 5 in his home town
  22. 3h 20m is long haul these days?

There are a few different ways to use knees in a marking contest 1. Put knee on shoulder 2. Jump with your knee so that your shin is perpendicular to the spine of the player in front. Effectively pushing away the player in front 3. Use the'point' of the knee to drive into the player in front. This is the contentious one that does the most damage The action happens at speed so it's often an unpredictable outcome but players who have grown up in the school yard playing footy typically is 1 or 2 as they aren't trying to 'hurt' the player in front. Players that haven't grown up with game and those that are trying to'hurt' the player in front often is number 3
