The Neal-Bullen non goal
none of the footage shown on the 7 telecast shows conclusively that it was touched. For them to overrule on that basis is unbelievable. Two games we have been dudded and 7 times Carlton have received the benefit of the review in the past 4 games. The AFL is corrupt to the core. Cripps didn't even have a concussion test until after the game. Nor did Weitering yet he was staggering around like a drunk

Farewell Brodie Grundy
You have to got to be kidding. I have now heard everything. He is what he is. Not what you or the club thinks he should be. How hard is that to comprehend?

Watching the replay the umpiring is disgusting. Williamson no 22 is so one sided it's embarrassing for the afl

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Grundy was dudded. He is what he is. Max can't play fwd because he can't kick for [censored]. Yet grundy was castigated because he can't take a contested mark. He would have been fired up to play Collingwood against their 2 rucks. And against carltons 2 rucks. Yet we went in with one injured ruck. Beggars belief We beat both Carlton and coll with 2 rucks in round 12 and 13.

Contracted Tomlinson Looks to Move On?
Cripps tried to strong arm our players No penalties for the golden child

Well it worked - they got the Joel Smith mark reversed

I think this is a furphy. Its not talent There have been dozens of times we take the ball down the wing with 2 or 3 players open in the centre corridor. Our players don't even look there. There are clearly instructed to go down the line to a contest. I won't be convinced otherwise. Its infuriating Its the polar opposite of what we were doing in the pre season and early part of the season when we were the most accurate side in the comp. The other infuriating thing is speed. We consistently hold the ball up and wait for the players to get back. When we play on we are a much more damaging team. Jordon is among the worst but by no means alone. Again clearly to instruction. This has been my argument for bringing Grundy back in. We won't lose much at centre clearance and it will force oppositions to adjust. All year I thought Gawn would take the tap and go back to defence while Grundy would ruck around the ground but we never tried that. And I still reckon thommo could play as a defensive fwd. Goody it seems has to be pushed into making changes

Cool light of day
You are probably right but I am trying to reconcile the freewheeling way we played in the pre-season and early rounds when we scored easily, cleanly and through the corridor. We tried doing that in the second half against coll and carlton We cut angles and kicked into the corridor and were the most accurate team in the comp up until about round 7. It was less predictable and way more open.

Cool light of day
I have said numerous times our game plan is a) very taxing, b) keeps oppositions in the game and c) very predictable. Our fwd half issues are at least 5 years old and we have an old ruckman as our fwd coach. Really? The game plan to beat Melbourne us well known but most teams are unable to compete for longer. Its patently obvious that good teams can compete for long enough as the do in finals. We do about 90% right but the 10% sees us lose. We made some changes around the edges this year but its time to completely re-design how we play.

POSTGAME: SF vs Carlton
We supposedly built a team that is primed for finals footy. We have lost 4 in a row. We consistently shoot ourselves in the foot with accuracy , bombing the ball into the fwd50. We have been doing this for 5 years. We do dumb things and keep repeating them Our selection policy is a shambles. We are unbelievably predictable Two finals we should have won and yet here we are. How is it the Kingsley takes a team thats 3 and 7 and wins a final as well as winning at 11 separate venues? How is it that Voss was in the gun to be sacked and here we are The mistakes are all our own. And we keep repeating them And you don't understand calls for him to be replaced? At this point we will have another 5 years of this and then we'll say what a wasted era

GAMEDAY: SF vs Carlton
McRae and Voss learned their footy under Mathews and in finals early territory is vital. Collingwood didn't bend down to pick up the ball at first they simply knocked, kicked, handballed it forward and the put huge pressure on the demon defence that started very slowly We were down 3 goals before you could think. Expect similar from Carlton and we have to stop it. Come out breathing fire and get the ball fwd at all costs. But no long bombs. I'd be happier with scrubbier ground balls that put real pressure on their defence. We have got this. Go Dees
