I think there is a huge difference in that we don't have our admin, training ground, gym, recovery etc all in the one place. No matter how hard people try, it makes a large disconnect whereby you aren't bumping into people around the water cooler, talking social media, admin, board, managers, players etc Hard to one entity. And while people look at 2021, we were in the training hub for a long time. Everyone talked about being in unity and working with purpose and togetherness. No surprise that our 'selflessness' mantra was a huge part of 2021. That seems to have disappeared IMO

I think this assessment is good. Upgrade in quality for both assuming Billings is fit. A worry that McAdam is 28yo and only played 50 games. Am I missing something?

Exactly. In 99% of cases its total BS and just the excuse the player uses to go back somewhere on a better contract. Something like the Dayne beams deal was most likely legit with his father dying but most are rubbish. The fact we let it happen and don't hold players to their contract means that players and their managers will keep doing it. Someone needs to stop it.
