  1. I called this early in the week and was jumped on. But i think it's a good idea. Without weitering dominating they are vulnerable down back. Thommo is string and he's a good kick...
  2. As a hypothetical, Brayshaw could have determined to continue playing because the AFL had made the head sacrosanct and changed rules and suspensions to support this view to protect all players including of course himself. The Maynard incident is essentially unprecedented (possibly the closest is the Cripps incident) in that Maynard ran at full pace before jumping into Brayshaw. HIs intentions are probably irrelevant for this. There is no way Brayshaw would expect that front on contact as it is illegal, the contact was also late, and it was also high. It was also at a force that no one would have conceived. I think he would have a good case against the AFL and yet again they have made a rod for their own back in order to appease a big club/name player/finals aspirant etc The number of exceptions to the AFLs rulings (including Cripps, Vlastuin among others) may well mean that the AFL is not really serious about protecting the head. The spurious argument from Cornes about high marks where a players knee hits another's head is a furphy and totally different to a player being attacked head on as was Brayshaw. I hope he sues the AFL for millions.
  3. I'm waxing between CGAF and don't let the AFL bastards win. I hope the players are switched on from the start.
  4. Carlton players 190cm or over last week McGovern Cripps TDK Pittonet McKay (wont play) Weitering Kemp Marchbank Curnow Acres Melb players 190cm or over last week Gawn May JVR (Wont play) Lever TMac Smith We look short
  5. I don't think we can afford to do that for 4 finals in a row...
  6. One in a hundred years for a finals debut? I don't thinks so. Don Cordner debuted in a semi final, Doug Heywood in a Prelim, Charlie Spargo's Dad debuted in a final, so did Dermott Brereton and Michael Cooke..... Just sayin....
  7. Marlon Pickett debuted in a Grand FInal
  8. So he has form and has learned nothing. Imagine May or Kozzi doing something again that they had been suspended for....
  9. So long as you are consistent on this because theres a lot that gets through
  10. It is infuriating that the evidence of Maynard was not challenged. He "jumped straight into the air" is a flat out lie. He ran full tilt and dived forward into Brayshaws path. The closing speed of the two players makes this dangerous and reckless. The side on view suggests he travelled at least 2m fwd Its front on which is illegal I didn't see him. - But I ran straight at him like a maniac I touched the footy - Flat out lie. He was miles off it I wouldn't have hit him had Brayshaw not changed direction is the biggest lie of the lot I am over the AFL. lets win flag and the rest can f off
  11. AFL and Integrity? Roll me over and call me Susan
  12. If we don't come firing out of the blocks then I for one will be calling for Goodwins head. We simply cannot play this as a normal game. We cannot get behind by three goals - again.
  13. Maynard launched himself like a scud missile was nowhere near the ball. It was reckless and dangerous. There is no other way around it. The evidence was laughable. " I didn't see him" " I touched the footy" "He ran into me" You have to be f*ing kidding. What is abundantly clear is that the AFL is as corrupt organisation as you could possibly see. Read Michael Warner's Boys Club and there is no other conclusion. If you are Dangerfield, Cripps or Collingwood you get favours . Its disgraceful and I really hope they get there arses sued off.
  14. Brayshaw should sue the AFL for failing to provide a safe workplace
  15. The conflict here is breathtaking. If you choose to bump out or tackle and get someone in the head you're suspended. But somehow spoiling is now a free shot at an opposition player. Only the corrupt AFL could come up with this bastard of an interpretation
  16. Read this on Twitter.. Apparently the Collingwood lawyer is now arguing the twin towers veered into the path of the Boeing 767 on 9/11
  17. "I jumped straight into the air" More like "I launched myself at Brayshaw like a scud missile"
  18. "I didn't see him" Who or what did he think was kicking the ball? FMD what a moron. Witness coaching gone wrong
  19. Carlton players 190cm or over last week McGovern Cripps TDK Pittonet McKay (wont play) Weitering Kemp Marchbank Curnow Acres Melb players 190cm or over last week Gawn May JVR (Wont play) Lever TMac Smith We look short
  20. Im going out on a limb here but maybe consider Thommo as a defensive fwd on Weitering He's a good kick. can run in straight lines. And good one on one.
  21. Because they were playing catch up all night most likely. I would have had Riv in there. And maybe even put viney fwd because he did nothing in the middle.
  22. Sadly he had a game to forget. I wonder whether he too affected by the damage to his mate...
