I spent a few minutes down there this morning and saw tyson getting his knee rebandaged. He still looked a bit proppy to me but seemed to participate in everything. They spent all the time I was there playing a handball game of footy with 6 teams - 2 groups of 3. 2 groups would try to move the ball and score a goal with only handballs. This would go on for around 7 mins and then 1 team would go off and rest whilst the 3rd team would come on. Having not seen much training I'm not sure whether this is done regularly but it looked pretty slick with fast movement, some good tackling, mostly clean hands etc. Maybe this is our strategy to break through Freo's strangulation defence. Most of the players are adept at lifting the arms before being tackled and dishinig off a handball. Targets were well hit. I did see Toumpas fumble quite a few times but it might havejst been whilst I was watching. Others who saw the who session might have a view.. It was stunning morning and the players looked like they were enjoying the workout and running hard.

THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES
jnrmac replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
If they can test in 12months and then lay charges, fight any appeals etc the players will be 30yo or have left the club. The only sanction that would appease the sporting world is to have EFC banned from competitrion. -
Trapper won a b&F and also came 3rd. More than Col ever did.

Ouch that is depressing reading...

Well written. Good analysis.

Good pcik up. Interesting though that he identifies with being a "NSW boy" "Being a NSW boy I didn't have too much exposure to Melbourne footy club last year but since I have been here the coaches are adamant in what they want to get across and how they are going to do it and how we are going to play and we did that tonight that win was massive for Melbourne, massive.

THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES

As much as I would want the above to happen, if there is no proof what the players took and the players don't complain I doubt they can get the EFC -

I'm not excited. What afl governance penalties did the directors cop? They won't take into account new governance penalties. Why would they? They don't do that for regular businesses that fall foul of the laws. I agree with you on the last point though. -
Really champ? Who were the standouts for you in 2003?

Isn't he from Tathra in NSW? http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/melbourne-demons-pick-ainslies-aaron-vandenberg-in-afl-rookie-draft-20141203-11z2vc.html

Yeah its 5 yrs plus fines up to $180k each Director and 900k for each company I believe. -
What a bust the 2003 draft was. Cooney and Mundy the two standouts.

I am sure if WS wanted they could subpoena Dank and the records he claims to have. But I bet they won't. If the hailstorm comes down on the club Directors they might then start proceedings against Dank - who after all was sacked for running the regime. As was Robinson. The Directors could be facing big fines and banning orders as I would if I tried that at my workplace... -
Not quite sure what you are saying here but McLean was drafted in the same year and showed alot more leadership and drive - until he did the dirty on us,....

Not a patch on Sylvia's talent. Butyes still a wasted talent. Mitch thorp is another..

THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES

The HS article says that Worksafe are investgating becasue of a complaint from a member of the public. If true it is a disgrace that they waited for this to occur when it was so public. -
I'd call a senior player who was there for 10 years and never finished inside the top 5 in the B&F when he had more talent than just about anybody a large cause of the problem. Exactly why we were in the doldrums. What are you? Some kind of gen xer always blaming someone else for your woes? I get it. You are Col's Mum. Laziest player ever to pull on a boot at the MFC.

What kind of a peanut are you? Any one of those players would walk into our side. And have a look at the tackling stats and games won. Have you watched footy before? -
Is that envy I smell?
