Don't you get the chicken and egg scenario? Granty is saying exactly that. West Coast and Coll spend $300k A WEEK more on their footy departments than Melbourne. Where do you think they get that money? Good fixturing, Stadium deals, decent performance and smart business practices. The first two are critical and until we getlevel on this grounds we are battling to get competitive on field.

You didn't read the article did you. He is saying they can't do that under the current fixturing. What he missed out on are the stadium deals that kill clubs like ours when we play interstate sides on a Sunday afternoon at the G and lose money...compared to WCE and Geelong who make hundreds of thousands more at games than we do because they have better deals.

Sorry to pick a hole in your otherwise excellent summary but wow if you think Toumpas is ahead of Brayshaw. Sure Gus's output has dropped off a bit from earlier in the season but he is a cut above the toump.

Doubters? Before this season he had played 26 forgettable games. I am glad for Max because the calls for him to be culled at year's end would have been very loud had he not shown significant improvement.

Tackling is better but so is the non-tackling ie: when we hold off from comitting to the tackle to try: - and avoid a player dishing the ball off - tackling too high or infringing Seems to be a lot more 'corralling" to avoid the over the top handballs...

Happens every year. We drop easy games. A nobody steps up and annihilates us. Cloke kicks 7.0 Daniher kicks 5.0. We are mentally weak and pathetic as a footy team. This is their only game for the year at the G. They'll be pumped. I still have vivid memories of the Swans beating us at the G after losing 24 in a row. There is a cancer within this club that we can't eradicate. As coach Id be watching those that don't give 4 qtrs and not playing them for the rest of the year and to be delisted at years end. Sick of it really.

Probably to shake any tag that might be in store... He's usually on inide 3mins anyway...
